Which means people are going to be tightening their belts.

Which means that salaries are gonna be lean.

So, my fellow countrymen......the oil ride is over. It was fun while it lasted.

Expect more strikes....especially as the JOHESU strike has not been called off....and ASUU wants to start their own.

Of course....if we seized this opportunity and went off oil....we would be able to have a GDP big enough for salary increases!

I doubt Buhari would do anything different from PDP....he is committed to Nigeria's oil dependent economy staying the same way.

And it is because we are soo oil dependent that we do not have enough cash to pay workers....especially as oil prices are going down.

I blame PDP for not doing much to get us off oil....so that we would have been insulated from the price crash.....but APC is not going to get us off oil either.

Oil prices are dropping....

Nigeria's economy is oil dependent.

Our foreign reserves are shrinking.

We may not go hungry....but we would certainly have to manage more and manage more.

But there is a way out.....so long as we are prepared to face the fact that the oil money IS NOT ENOUGH. Our large population, and over importation makes it so.

As far as this country Nigeria is concernefd even the entire military can go on indifinite strike but this talk of civil defence is laughable as jokes apart they are no where replacing the police ....
