I think we should list all the people and events that were around the last time Buhari was Head of State so that hopefully it begins to sink in in the minds of Nigerians how far backward APC are trying to take Nigerians

The last time Buhari was President:

in Politics

Ronald Reagan RIP was President of America

Magereth Thartcher RIP was Pime Minister of UK

Javier Perez De Cuellar was UN Secretary General

South Africa was still under white minority rule and Pieter Willem Botha RIP was the Executive President

Nelson Mandela was still in Prison

Jomo Kenyatta whose "SON" Uhuru Kenyatta is the current President of Kenya had only recently died in office


in sport
Diego Maradona was the greatest Footballer at the time still playing and Christain Chukwu was still playing central defence for club and country
While Mohamed Ali had only recently retired from boxing

in Music
Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Oliver De Coque, Osadebe were in their musical prime; they are all dead.

while Abba the musical band ruled Europe!



The point is, all those that were around at this time are either dead or have moved on to other things. Buhari seems to be the only one that will not back off from what he was trying to do 30years ago. The future of our country is far too important to be used just to massage one man's ego!

Rochas okorocha of APC was right, Jonathan is in his 50s and so is Obama. Even Li Keqiang of China is in his 50s. David Cameron of UK is not even 50. Leadership has passed to a new generation. Buhari should go and rest.

Please keep the touch lit by listing what events or people you know were prominent the last time Buhari was Head of State.

When GMB was head of state I can vividly remember the following:
1, There was electricity (24hrs) in my village.
2. There was running tap water (24hrs)
3. I didn't pay a single kobo in my primary sch. I was provided with free text books, exercise books, pencils, crayons, uniform, etc.
4. He and his deputy were Muslims yet no Christian complained if being marginalised.
5. When Maitatsine sect attacked our state the sect was crushed and Buhari was at the scene of the fight within 24hrs.
6. My father bought his brand new GL Peugeot car for less than #6,000.
7. Non of our neighbors dare sponsor terrorists to destabilize our country.
8. There was no single bomb blast.
9. Police do fear collecting bribes.

truly free education in south west was cancelled in 1983 by buhari administration that didn't see any reason for free education. and a lots of school merged together
