At the 2014 edition of the Headies held on December 14, 2014, rapper and producer, Jesse Jagz won the Lyricist on the roll award with his song, ‘God on the mic’. Not long after winning the coveted Headies plaque, however, Jesse took to Twitter to express himself about the show about which he feels there was too much dancing in a country going through so much turmoil and security challenges.

Jesse wrote: ‘I watched the Headies, too much dancing in a country that’s going through so much. We musicians are the guardians of society’. The comment would not be surprising to followers of the Jagz Nation boss who, while receiving his award on stage, had dedicated the award to all homeless people in the country....
