Leave Igbos alone. They said Igbos r voting due to tribal sentiments. Ok GEJ is Ijaw n Sambo Hausa, and still we voted 4him.
Yorubas can't vote enmass for a party without a Yoruba son. Now tell me who is voting in line of tribal sentiment.
When we voted Yaradua and Obasanjo, it wasn't because of tribal and religious sentiments.
Don't mind the idîots, everytime Igbo this, Igbo that.

[quote author=cramjones post=28956783]In our meeting, all the governors wanted Amaechi as vice. We had settled for him when we left. However, Tinubu wanted to be the VP, but most people were opposed to it, at the end we decided to pick Prof, since Tinubu insisted on a South West candidate. We hope that Amaechi's role as campaign DG will win us at least 25% of votes from the SE and SS. Meanwhile, those that have to play their cards better in the Nigerian political space are the Igbos.

The Yoruba's have gotten more out of Nigeria that our SE brothers ! They play smart politics , choose when to ally with the center and when to oppose it smartly NOT based of prejudice and bigotry! This way , they gain while some other folks hold on to a frankly delusional dislike for another group and consistently outdo themselves! If you want to sink with GEJ an incompetent man because you want to use him to "deny" the North power, by all means do so, but remember that you also push power further away from yourself because YOU NEED ALLIANCES (even if it is with your perceived enemies) to ever get to power! When I look West or North, I don't see the SE forming any alliances , hence I can confidently conclude that they have miscalculated again! Would you guys go and hang yourselves in 2019 when PDP rotates power to the North and your much hated Hausa-fulani muslim northerner becomes president ? Would you then run to the SW and say let's oppose them? Tinubu is a brilliant politician , he probably distrusts the North more than you do, but he understand that ALLIANCES rather than bigotry is the route to power in a country with major ethnic groups and power blocks! Give or take power will certainly reach the SW AGAIN before the SE , bc APC or PDP understands that they need this block! Okorocha understands this, and I am sure many pragmatic Igbos felt proud of him when he mounted the podium at the APC convention to add an Igbo voice to what has become A NATIONAL CRY FOR CHANGE! you cannot as a result of unfounded bigotry hold the whole nation back! It is not a good reason to do so! Reminds me of the biblical "fake mother " who asked Solomon that the baby which was not hers be divided! ! This is what you guys did in 2011 and are doing now ! You will sacrifice Nigeria on the platter of bigotry and hatred if even it destroys you? How can you hate another , more than you love yourself ? I totally agree with you 100% on this wonderful write up. As an Igbo man from Imo state in the South East, I don't think any Igbo man is sale able more than Okorocha because he has wider acceptance in Nigeria especially the north where no Igbo man can even get 1 vote should one come out to contest for national offices. Every one knows that GEJ is highly incompetent to say the least but most of my people prefer to vote GEJ on the basis that he is our brother when even our DNA does not even correlate. It is also saddening to note that even GEJ supporters especially in the south east knows that GEJ does not mean well for Nigeria let alone the south east. Nigeria is made of 3 main ethnic groups, and I can authoritatively say that the Igbos is the least in numbers when compared to the other main ethnic group: Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba. I love the Yoruba's senses when it comes to aligning with th right candidates and at the right time when the same can't be said of my people the Igbos. If national offices are to be contest based on sentiments, I don't think that the Igbo man can ascend to the highest office in this land as it has been the case since Nigeria's independence if not Aguiyi Ironsi that didn't even last up to 2years. As pitiable as it sounds, only Okorocha has been making efforts to liberate them by aligning them with the right people at the right time especially now, but selfishness on the part of some politicians in the south east, sentiment, bigotry on the general south east populace is affecting this noble cause. But I believe there are people who know their onions in the south east and will join hands with my able governor to achieve this aim by aligning with the right people so that when the opportunity comes to us, we will have people who will also support us to achieve this noble course

My conscience won't just permit me to vote for Jonathan who has a six years opportunity to create a change but went viral into cluelessness. A president who can not bring the sponsors of Boko-Haram who he claims are in his government to book.

The time for change is now

The Igbo know they would never be supported to the presidency by the North anytime now or in the future regardless of whether they 'build alliances' with that section of the country or not. Dr. Alex Ekwueme was the most eminent and qualified Nigerian in 1999 to win the presidency if you went by all indices of leadership: he is cerebral, a level-headed man who is respected across the country, highly educated, a technocrat that had experience as a former VP and above all he famously and courageously led the G-34 that metamorphosed into the PDP. He was on the cusp of victory and visited all the power blocs in this country including those of the North to intimate them of his ambition until the same North you now want the South East to ally with came up with their Igbo-containment mantra of a "LEADER WE CAN TRUST" which turned out to be Obasanjo, a man who was in prison and had no idea how the PDP came into being. Gen TY Danjuma, a Northern power broker and a man everyone knows has a deep-seated anti-pathy for anything Igbo since the late 1960s even openly swore that he would go on exile if Obasanjo didn't win presidency. In the end, the usual suspects shared power among themselves and left out the Igbo even though in the end as it often happens in such conspiracies, they eventually both fell out leading to accusations of betrayal by the North against Obasanjo while OBJ himself ensured that the North got what they deserved by foisting a sick Northerner on them and indirectly getting the South South to an easy presidency. So, the Igbo are no fools when they play their politics. They know when supporting the candidates of a certain section of this country is akin to pouring water in a basket because ultimately that section of the country would never EVER support their own candidate when it is supposed to be their turn.

Intellectual ignorance is the problem making majority of Nigerian youths to sell themselves cheap to the ruling party.
Majority of them are jobless and clueless about the political facts and realities in the history of Nigeria.
And the more ignorant they are, the more they make themselves cheap pawns for political contractors from the Niger Delta to Abuja.
Youths who have no other ambition than to ask for handouts from the government in power instead of asking for change for a better and greater Nigeria.

Oh my goodness. You belong to the class of the cerebral. Your analysis is very simple yet as educating as a text book on Political Science. I agree with you totally and I look forward to a time when tribe and religion will cease to determine who gets where and what in Nigeria. It shouldn't matter what tribe you are, what religion you practice, your sex, age and all. The most important should be the strength of your character. I see us getting there someday soon. Well done for a brilliant comment. Regards

If this news is true, then PDP should be ready to pack their bags and baggages and vacate aso rock immidiately.
Because Amaechi is a tough and fearless politician who will bring more vibrance to the campaign team.

My conscience won't just permit me to vote for Jonathan who has a six years opportunity to create a change but went viral into cluelessness. A president who can not bring the sponsors of Boko-Haram who he claims are in his government to book.

The time for change is now

Vote BUHARI for President

God Bless Nigeria
God Bless Niger-Delta
shatap, where is that tout recognised in nigeria?amaewu ntooooooor.

So scamjones, why are the yorubas crying of marginalisation under the Jonathan/Sambo administration

Why could the yorubas not secure the Speaker's position but allowed the JagaBandit to give it to his slave masters shocked

You can do better without name calling.

So what about it?

The fear of Amaechi as Campaign DG of Buhari is the beginning of political unrest in the PDP camp.

Sai Buhari!!

my dear, if Amaechi has been relegated to a campaign DG, then he is dead politically.

So after spending all the money in Rivers State, all they could give him was to campaign for the man who will not win an election come 2015.
