the southwest doesn't care about the religion. We deal with individuals. NO ONE cares about if Fashola is a Muslim or not. Almost all the Southwest governors are Muslims.

I'm with Banky on this one. The very moment I heard Fashola ain't coming out as the Presidential candidate of APC, I decided to stick with GEJ. I can never vote for Buhari, a self-avowed supporter of Sharia and an anti-democracy proponent. Only Fashola would've made me think the so-called "change" yapped about by these PDP refuse dumps, would have come to reality. Tribe and religion are the two main monsters, taking this country back to ice age.

Dear Banky W, your opinion about Nigeria sounds pretty good but not practicable in our present day Nigeria unless u can go back in time and bring back to life those xtians killed in Jos, Kaduna, Kano and other places. Restore the property worth billions of Naira lost to this madness they called wiping out the infidels. We are not one but if u think we are or religion is insignificant in choosing leadership, dream on!!!
This is not US but Nigeria and with the happenings since the annulment of 1993, we now know better and have u been sleeping for the past 21 years and just woke up? Mtcheeew!!!

My question to Banky W and the supporters of his rants is this ; who says that Fashola is better than the person that may emerge as the appointed APC vice presidential candidate ? People , for all I care , no one man has monopoly of wisdom , so let's always have it in mind that where one's good qualities stopped is where some other person's better qualities started .

That would have been a suicide mission for Apc..Politics is about numbers, for Apc to win the need the numbers in the north and who more to provide that than Buhari.. That said, under a normal circumstances Fashola would have been a good choice for presidency

I agree with BankyW but unfortunately, this is politics and its a huge tactical game where a lot of issues have to be taken into consideration. It's a presidential election where muslims, christans, elites, rich, poor, tribalists, young, old etc are going to vote in, hence you need to appeal to everybody cuz every vote counts!

But honestly, Osinbajo is not a bad candidate, we have all been clamouring for a newbreed of politicians, now we have him. And the fact that he is a technocrat like Fashola is an icing on the cake.

if they are trying to appeal to SouthWest, then religion doesn't matter to us, except if the person is perceived to be inclined towards extremism.
