A fan in Malawi has called Davido out on Twitter for charging what he considers an outrageous fee for a show in the country.

Nerdy Nigg, who tweets through the handle: @thinithini wrote:

‘S/o to all the ladies who been crushing on davido. Guess what he ditched your asses for Ugandan ladies, Heard Davido demanded 80000 usd for his show. Nigga gat be bleeped up. He can’t even make that on his album sales.’

Not long after, Davido replied Nerdy, saying,

‘No be by force o’

in apparent reference to the fact that it is about the money which is currently about N14m according to the current exchange rates.

Davido recently performed in Kampala, Uganda on December 6, 2014 and it has now become clear that he would have performed in Malawia around the same time but for lack of agreement on the financial details.
