Where was IYC when PEJ and GEJ were endorsing Nyesome Wike to succeed his brother Amaechi against the collective aspiration of the riverine and despite the fact that Wike is a clueless dumbo with nothing to offer? IYC should stop threatening people like cowards. They can't do anything, and that is a fact!

Yes, Nigeria is a contraption, but if we split up this contraption, we would end up with dozens of squabbling, small states, millions of refugees, and did I mention that Boko won't suddenly sit down and say ''Peace''?.

Worse, we would have a war for resources, and control of land and people. Big tribes will attack and conquer small tribes in wars that would lead to a large refugee crisis.

In short....Somalia writ large.

You know something about you Nigerians.....you are not really interested in development. You just want to chop....regardless of whether your GDP can sustain it. That is why you fight over oil money like a group of banshees, and cry war when you don't get what you want.

If you want division of Nigeria , fine. Even I myself sometimes think it might be a good idea. But unfortunately, I don't want to see what happened in India and Pakistan in 1947-8 repeat itself here.I don't want the Civil War part 2 repeated here. I want you and other Nigerians to seriously force your leaders to work for you....and to stop seeing government as a means to fill your stomach to the brim. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."1

A Daily Encounter reader asks: "I have a friend who grieves her husband's death. He was a Pastor. How can I comfort her?"

One of the best things we can do for grieving friends is to be there for them—to give them our presence. That is, to lend them a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on as well as to pray for them. Better still is to weep with those who weep.

This is needed at holiday times, especially so as we come into the Christmas season. Such times can be bitterly lonely for the grieving.

What our grieving friends don't need is someone to give them advice, preach at them, or tell them they shouldn't feel the way they feel. When we lose a loved one, we grieve deeply. The pain can be insufferable. When Jesus' friend Lazarus died, Jesus wept. We need to do the same when we lose a loved one—and grieve/weep with our friends when they suffer loss. Rare is the friend who knows how to weep with those who weep.

Realize, too, that grieving is a process that takes time. Broken bones heal in six weeks. Broken hearts don't. They take so much longer to heal, so always be patient and understanding with grieving friends.

However, if a friend's grieving continues, say, for more than a year and it is obvious that they are not recovering, kindly suggest that they might consider joining a grief recovery group and/or seeing a skilled counselor to help them.

By now, I expect those in north of southern origin to have moved down south for safety.Those guys up there would do anything to rule at all cost. “We of southern Nigeria have not at any time threatened or attacked supporters of General Buhari; hence any threat or attack on supporters of President Jonathan in the north would be visited with proportionate action from us in the south.

“Governors Amaechi, (Rochas) Okorocha and (Adams) Oshiomole; Timipre Silva, John Oyegun, Bola Tinubu and other supporters of General Buhari in southern Nigeria are going about their campaigns without any molestation from southerners.

“Enough is enough for those who promised and are making northern Nigeria ungovernable for President Jonathan. If they want their own country, let them say so as we can no longer accept the ‘Extreme North Must Rule’ mentality of some northerners.”
