I am NOT a fan of GEJ. However, it baffles me tremendously that no party in Nigeria has come up with a better alternative. When APC come up with their usual chorus 'CHANGE!!!', I always ask them: 1. What sort of change and in what direction? Falsehood is the greatest crime against humanity especially if such lies are meant for public consumption. Obviously, some of our major challenges as a Nation-State are: 1. Unemployment 2. Epileptic power supply 3. Low standard education 4. Corruption 5. Insufficient motorable roads 6. Religion intolerance/nepotism/tribalism So far, APC as the strongest opposition party is yet to come up with the modalities on how to tackle the above problems. The only thing Buhari is capable of doing (as promised) is 'fighting' corruption and again I ask, how? I pray Buhari is NOT seeking this position so that he can have an opportunity to punish his perceived enemies? Other important questions are: 1. If Buhari who earned huge salaries as a head of state between 1983-1985, military governor of N/E region, minister of petroleum resources, and chairman of PTDF now claims that he ONLY has one million naira in his account, is that not an indication that he is very poor in financial management? What happens to all the money he earns as a former head of state and as a rtd General? Do we need an expert in financial mismanagement as a Nigerian president in this 21st century? 2. Some GEJ critics complain of inadequate power supply. Did we have 24- hour power supply before him? If NOT, do you expect him to fix it in a space of 4 years when other presidents (Buhari inclusive) have failed to do so in a space of 50 years? GEJ is no Jesus Christ if you ask me. 3. What was the poverty rate in Nigeria during Buhari's regime? Could you compare it with what we have today? 4. If Buhari couldn't profer a lasting solution to Nigeria problems as president in 1985 when he is young, do you think he can do so now that he is 72 years and half of his brain cells are dead? Even Profs retire at the age of 70 years because they can no longer strain their brains to think and come up with new ideas. 5. If Buhari doesn't have a hidden agenda other than his love for Nigeria, why didn't he give other credible candidates in APC the opportunity to become president? Is Buhari the ONLY saint in APC? Must he be president again at all cost? 6. Is it NOT glaring that APC is just a means for the Northern muslims to re-claim power back since it is no longer possible in PDP? 7. Do you think Buhari would have remained in APC if Rochas or Atiku had emerged victorious in just concluded APC presidential primary election? If No, why? Finally, Goodluck may not be the type of president we clamoured for but Buhari is NOT an alternative. I thought APC would have provided us a vibrant and better candidate who can brace up with the existing realities of this modern and complex world. If they had done that, Nigerians will NOT need paint-him-black strategy of APC to vote GEJ (Not PDP) out in 2015. |

[s] Onyiridike:[/s] We vote people into office to take care of our problems, not to make excuses about the past or what past leaders do or didn't do. If I didn't do my job and gave my Oga the same excuse about other workers and what they do or didn't do, he'll sack me on the spot. It's called accountability. The opposition is not the problem, the current administration is the problem and the fact that you are sitting here making excuses for them instead of telling us what plans and solutions they have to better out lives means you and this incompetent administration are out of gas with nothing better to offer Nigerians. It's very unfortunate and insulting that with all the challenges facing Nigerians, all you have to sell is irrelevant argument about the APC's VP choice that's non of your business and also religious bigotry and division.. |

Thought provoking questions that should ordinarily lead to introspection and self searching by those who bitterly want Presido's head, but no, instead it would lead to counter threads and vituperous remarks which explains why we are where we are today as a country. |

these repugnant Buhari supporters are just blabbing on and on about non-existent codswallop. Being the leader of a nation is different from being the class captain in secondary school. GEJ is lacking, agreed, but he shouldn't be compared with Buhari. Buhari is a weakling and a puppet, during his rule, he was just the face seen by the people, the main person ruling the country, pulling the strings from behind the scene was his second in command, General Babatunde Idiagbon. I'm pretty sure 70% of his blind followers are unaware of this fact. The basis for fighting terrorism is gathering Intel on what propelled insurgency from the outset. They made video clips, sent messages that the reason behind the group was a religious problem. But now, they even attack mosques more than they do churches. GEJ over Buhari, it is only a child that blames a flavor of ice cream he loves when it starts purging him. |

Onyiridike:It is like asking a manager what direction a team he does not coach will go. Interview them for the job, have confidence in them and give them the job, if after a year or their four years contract, their game is terrible and the result is worse than the previous manager, then you know your answers. |

Eziachi:I respectfully disagree with you. I cannot entrust my business with a manager who has not proven to me in his CV, cover letter, oral and practical interviews that he has got the skills to manage my business creditably. |

Onyiridike:What dumb thing to say. So because researcher did not find the cure for cancer when he was young, therefore, he is incapable of achieving it when he is 72? If Buhari doesn't have a hidden agenda other than his love for Nigeria, why didn't he give other credible candidates in APC the opportunity to become president? Is Buhari the ONLY saint in APC? Must he be president again at all cost? You see, if you lot from the south joined APC, it wont be a northern thing, would it? And those that had the courage to join, you are calling them sell outs, malam etc. You cannot have it both way. By the way, there is nothing southern about PDP more than APC, if you can open your eyes and use it. 7. Do you think Buhari would have remained in APC if Rochas or Atiku had emerged victorious in just concluded APC presidential primary election? If No, why? What is the relevant of this question? Fortunately or unfortunately he didn't lose, so deal with the reality instead of what could have been. Finally, Goodluck may not be the type of president we clamoured for but Buhari is NOT an alternative. I thought APC would have provided us a vibrant and better candidate who can brace up with the existing realities of this modern and complex world.Really? vibrant and better, like who, Jesus of Obalende? There are plenty of alternatives apart from Buhari and Jonathan, how many political parties has Nigeria got? The likes of Pat Utomi, Chris Okotie, Dele Momodu once ran for the same position, how many like you voted for them? They are young, bright and all sort, whats the excuse? If they had done that, Nigerians will NOT need paint-him-black strategy of APC to vote GEJ (Not PDP) out in 2015.Come on! Not another vote vote GEJ and not PDP ? I don't think most people will quite buy that now. I think another strategy might work better, like, when the senior Igbinedion said about his son that, "they should give him a second chance because anyone that fail his exam deserve a re-sit of the exam". That might work for Jonathan. |

Onyiridike:I don't know whether you have actually ran a real business, because if you had, you won't have the same sentiment as above. Yes a manager who had managed small, medium size and huge business in his CV is not good enough for you, so what sort of manager are you looking for? When you came out of school how many years of job experience did you have before your were given a chance of a job? David Cameron was an ordinary backbencher before he became the prime minister of world 4th biggest economy. If we are to based it on your argument, many people both in public and private sectors all over the world should not be doing the jobs they now occupies, thats including Barrack Obama. |

Can you imagine, so somebody can be here telling us to accept the failure of Mr. President for another 4 years. Wicked set of ppl. If u are okay with his failure the option is there for you, vote him without insult the intelligent of millions of Nigerians who believe that there is need for change. Your Jesus in Aso Rock has six solid years to make a change, he failed, you agree that he failed but u still want us to vote for a failure |

Onyiridike:When we are talking of experience, comparing Jonathan and Buhari will amount to comparing a failure and an achiever. Tell me what experience Jonathan had to become the president of Nigeria apart from the sentiments put on his resume. If you have your own business, you can hire a fo.ol to be your controller, that is ur headache but for us enough of failure as our president. |

Onyiridike:As at today our options are limited, it is an option btw a promoter of corruption and a fighter of corruption. It is an option btw a man who want to continue to rule us based on sentiment and a man who is wining our support based on his record of integrity. |

GEJ is the real change Nigeria need. He's true Democrat and a 21st Century Nigerian leader. Buhari belong to the past. I wonder how voting a candidate like buhari who by the way, was a former military head of state from 1983 - 1985 through military coup represent "Change" This is pure recycling! Nothing more. Referring to Buhari as the change Nigeria need is not only erroneous but an anomaly. GEJ represents the true change Nigeria need to move the country forward democratically, economically and infrastructurally in in the 21st century. |
