Guys why all these yelling? Everyone keep saying that his ideas would be stolen if he had detailed them, this and that. Come on guys! If I may ask, what is the use of ones knowledge if one can't use it for the good of humanity and to better the society at large?

I'm only saying that he should details these plans. If APC win or lose, either way is a win win for Nigeria.

I have no grudge whatsoever with his great ideas.

Anyone can say anything to get elected. The Government can not directly offer employment, it will skyrocket recurrent expenses and become futuristic burden on the Economy.

I had expected this boi-boi looking professor and his 72 years of old dinosaur yesterday's man to lay out a blueprint on how to diversify the Economy, generate revenue to promote enterprise building, encourage SMEs, lower interest rates to single digits and consolidate on macro-economic growth. But what I hear from him, a whole professor, is same old rhetoric. What is change when they can not even have common-sense to sound different from the PDP they want to replace ?

Nonsense.

ogene007:
Lets apply some critical reasoning here. Maitatsine was crushed in the eighties with no regard to the collateral damage to innocent people who were caught in the cross-fire. That particular period up till OBJ's genocide on Odi and Zaki biam went unpunished because the international criminal court (ICC) was not yet operational and ICC does not prosecute retroactively. The easiest thing for GEJ to do is to order the military to level any where BH seizes control of. Such an action would be like using a bomb to kill a rat. The next day, the likes of CNN and BBC will gorge the world with images of women and children who were killed in the operation against BH, with the likes of El rufai, Lai Mhammed, Nyako and even your GMB running straight off to report GEJ to ICC. That is why BH uses the innocent population as human shield in their attacks against the military. The Nigerian military which hitherto had no experience in dealing with 21st century terrorism is undergoing rapid training, re-equiping and general restructuring so as to be able to carry out precision strikes at the command and structure of BH. This is an ongoing exercise and the results are improving unlike when the crisis started. If previous governments, including the one led by GMB as military head of state had invested a quarter of resources that GEJ has invested in the military up till today, the story would have been far different today. Rather, GMB and his co northern military dictators spent over 16 years of decimating the military just like they did to NEPA, NITEL, Nigerian Airways, Ajaokuta Steel Mill etc, foisting a culture of corruption and un-professionalism across all spheres of our national life that a lot of military officers saw themselves first as politicians/contractors rather than military men whose sole responsibility was to defend the territorial integrity of the nation.BH has not been crushed by GEJ not for want of diligent effort in that regard but for the sabotage by disgruntled elements from the hausa/fulani northern extraction who are using BH as a blackmailing tool in forcing the rest of the country in handing over power back to the them. The rest of the country are fully aware of this and won't be deceived into succumbing to them because the niger delta militants are more than capable of also blackmailing the rest of the country with an even bigger threat of reducing our crude oil export to zero by blowing up all the pipelines. No section of the country has monopoly of violence, and that is why people should tread cautiously.
I read almost everything.

And one thing that caught my attention most was where u said our military have no intelligence on 21st century terrorism and are undergoing training.

Well 1st of all if the so called training have been successful, the BH issue would have been an issue and yesterday. But, that is not the case.
And why is it that our soldiers are crying that they don't have good weapons? Or are good weapons only used during training?

Secondly u can't just say the military have no issue on 21st century violence, if that's the case how comes they are been sent to other neighbouring african countries for peace keeping and they perform really well but when they are brought back home they perform not so well?
Or is nigeria not their country?

Thirdly, I believe the critics made by GMB and others if truly the present FG are inclined towards a better nigeria, those critics would have boosted their morale and they would have improved but do they do that? No! Instead they label them as blackmail/enemies and later when there is a bomb blast u would see dem partying and later they would condemn it.

Finally, eat ur crude oil and we will eat our crops and cows!

Re: How Buhari Plans To Wipe Out Boko Haram, Create Jobs—Osinbajo by Fellonigerians: 12:35pm On Dec 23, 2014
smsshola:
Vice-Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has stated that the Presidential candidate of the party, Gen. Muhammed Buhari will wipe out the dreaded boko haram insurgents and create jobs in the country if elected in 2015.

Prof. Osinbajo was responding to questions from some of his followers on the social media.

He claimed that the Jonathan- administration is unable to tame boko haram because of the corruption around the defence funds which has created a situation where soldiers are not well equipped and motivated.

“The current administration has politicised boko haram. The corruption around defence funds has created a situation where soldiers are not well equipped/motivated. GMB wiped out Maitatsine, another Islamic insurgency in his own administration by sincerely identifying the problem as a challenge to the authority of the state to maintain law and order. The administration took command and funded the military transparently and that’s what we need to do now to end this insurgency.

Commenting on the rate of unemployment in the country, he said the Buhari/Osinbajo administration if elected in 2015 will tackle the challenge by supporting every state to create 20, 000 jobs as well as pay a stipend to every youth corps members for a year while they are looking for employment.
He noted, “We expect every state will be supported to create 20, 000 jobs directly funded. The FG will also match the creation that for every additional job created over 20, 000 mark. FG will pay a stipend to every youth corper for a year while they are looking for employment and in that year will give vocational training. FG will undertake a massive public works programme; this is expected to have multiplier effect of producing hundreds of thousands of jobs. FG will give tax breaks and recognition to employers of labour who provide a certain minimum number of jobs”.

He also took a swipe on the current administration handling of corruption, promising that APC government will not tolerate it.

“One of the fundamental problems is that there is no consequence for corruption, I think that what everyone will agree to about a Buhari government is that it will not tolerate corruption. If the number one citizen has a clear and uncompromising anti-corruption stand then the anti-corruption policy will work. If the number one and two have a strong stance on anti-corrupion then our policy can succeed. In Lagos state, we were able to deal with judicial corruption by dealing with issues of remuneration and a strict policy on consequence in sanctions where judicial personnel are found to be corrupt. That model can be replicated,” he noted.

The former Attorney General of Lagos state stated that the APC is different from the PDP because it is focus on policies that will impact the lives of the common man.

“We have social programmes such as social welfare (first in Africa), free education, mass employment, universal healthcare insurance and the free meals programme in primary schools. The difference is in the ticket, integrity is key”.

On his vision for Nigeria, the professor of law said that, “a country where everyone has a good job, lives a decent life in peace and security.

Based on this, I am guessing that when he was AG of Lagos State, that there were consequences for corruption... i also want to see that corruption does not exist in any APC state...

We had a Boko Haram version called Matatsine during Gen.Buhari's administration. They were worst, ruthless, and more violent than the Boko Haram we experience today. But Gen.Buhari saw them as an affront and insult to the law of the land and sovereignty of the nation. As such,he dealt with them as a ''symbol of authority'' to the people should do.Politics was dropped aside. He did'nt care if they were the wrong or right version of Islam. He did'nt care if they share a semblance ethnic/religious line with him.He did'nt care if they evedropped from the northern ancestral home of Kano.He did what had to be done as the Head of State. But what do we have now?A puppet smiling president in the face of anarchy.

You have not even noticed that the source is osun defender.

The topic says how??
But His responses are "what"

Nigerian s already know what needs to be done, the challenge is how do we do what needs to be done

For me, he has not said anything, anyone can talk,
In fact, a 7 year old boy can say more -"we will generate 500,000 jobs in 4 years"

Secondly let Buhari speak for himself.
I can categorically say, if not for 2015 Elections, he would not even go near Buhari and have his phone number.
I hope Buhari will persecute Tinubu, Fashola, IBB, Atiku, Obj, Ameachi, Bukola Saraki, Rauf, Rochas etc because we know they have all stolen public funds

Its very obvious, APC has no plan in place.
The only PLAN APC has is how to dislodge PDP from presidency by spreading propaganda and inciting the masses against government.

For a while now, military have been successfully dislodging BH, APC is quite. If they is any news that BH appears stronger, Liar Mohammed will come out to celebrate. Am even surprised, he is not talking about illegal arms deal in SA and quoting NAIRALAND as his source. What a foolish statement …
Its baffling to me that the distinguished prof is saying they will encourage states to create 20,000 jobs, the same states we are trying to take away jobs in their hands. Imagine our over bloated civil service, imagine the amount of time spent in getting things dOne in government office now they want to double the problems.
Federal government under GEJ has that plan in YOUWIN, to create jobs. Do you know that so far 3900 people has been empowered through YOUWIN to create jobs. This programme is so unique it bypassed all huddles. No I.M. Everything is dependent on your ability to convince the panel on what you can do with 10 million naira. You see that's direct money to the entrepreneurs that need it. Not another money to state politicians that will never go straight to the hand of the right people.

Then don't make such promises. A strong opposition must know how much revenue the government is making and if they don't know then they don't understand themselves.

What the professor has said makes me skeptical. Pay youth corper stipends during the period of unemployment, while don't you give them the same vocational training during youth services. Increase their stipends so that youth corpers can save and those with entrepreneur skills go into business. Why should it be after youth service?

Let Buhari call his rampaging fulani herdsmen to order now and we would trust his capacity to lead neutrally. Otherwise the fact that he once confronted a governor for not protecting fulanis in his state (Oyo) when placed side by side with his complete silence over ongoing massacre of farmers across the country by fulanis, particularly in the Middle Belt, exposes him as a fulani chauvinists who cannot be fair to others in matters involving his kinsmen.

Prof Osinbajo, I hear you are a pastor and I am very much aware that a true pastor is "called by God" not appointed or elected so you know how God guides. Now I ask, hope you are guided by God to take up this position? You sure know the consequence of moving before God moves considering your level of relationship with God. For you, this is going to be a BIG TEST. I am watching to learn yet a second time!

in Politics, you count on people's failure to achieve your own goal. Especially if the said failure is as colossal as Gej's failure.
IF U SAY GEJ IS A FAILURE IT ONLY EXPOSES YOUR IGNORANCE

Just got this and i feel its worth sharing as we continue to
search our consignee on who will lead this nation come
2015 Obasanjo said ''Everything I left in NEPA in 1979 in
equipment are the same thing I met when I came back in
1999, no overhauling and no upgrading'' OBJ ended with
spending over $20b to revitalize PHCN, even changing
the name from NEPA to PHCN, outsourcing etc, nothing
happened, no hope, no growth, no future Now GEJ came
and started fixing things, he discovered the enormous
investment involved, the monopoly and Government
incompetency in managing this, wastefulness that has
been the order of the day, avenue to loot and waste, a
perfect drain pipe, he decided to privatise and allow
professional and private companies to run what they
should have ran a long time ago, people started
complaining. APC changed the slogan to PDP
government, most of them were in the same government
then. Inter state transportation that has been moribund,
killed by past leaders including Buhari, GEJ came, and
decided that cost of good and services can reduce and
movement becomes faster, he embarked and revatalised
the Railways, signed contracts on PPP basis and today,
we have things happening in that sector, and guess what,
the same silent people who never complained before
started complaining Nigeria has been wasting money on
capital flight importing automobiles, empowering foreign
companies and denying ourselves, cheap means of
movement, and employment, Kaduna PAN went dead,
no one complained, no one pointed it out, GEJ came, he
introduced the policy and prices of automobiles went up,
investors have no option but to come, today, we have
many assembly plants, including our Local ones.,
Rememebr that Volkswagen, PAN, Anamco were dead,
today, it has started, the future looks good, and
employment will start. Still people complain No past
president was able to attract investors into the country, i
cant begin to explain what will happen in the next two
years when IPP's finishes their power infrastructures,
when Rail will be perfected across states, when all
investors like GE etc, must have finished building their
plants, when Automobile companies must have finished
their assembling plants, when the federal roads must
have been completed, when Refineries must have been
sold, when Dangote's Refinery must have started
operation, etc, employment, stability and sustainable
economy, etc. with the current politically orchestrated
insecurity, still investors keep coming, because the
believe in the new Nigeria, and many are still
complaining. what GEJ is instituting is independence
from government, entrepreneurship, innovations, etc,
something that developed countries live on, this is why
the western world is fighting him. Check out agriculture,
check out the new push into other natural resources,
over dependency in Oil is about to dwindle. Its a matter
of time. To have a solid foundation, u must demolish the
building and rebuild, not the same patch patch. U dont
have to borrow money to fund economy or fund Forex
as people complain. Its just a matter of time. I cant
support truncation of this innovation and
transformation, I still refuse to be a pawn and deceived
Past Presidents wrecked this country and our system/
economy, we are rebuilding. Be part of it, not truncate it
Change is happening, not change of Government, but
change in the economy, system and how things are done
before. we dont want "painted sepulcher", we want
realistic sustainability
