I was going through some news archive and stumbled upon this (See pic below). All political bashing aside, GEJ's gov't has made alot of unfulfilled promises to Nigerians. With the proliferation of social media and smart mobile phones/internet, the archives are easily accessible to hold these leaders to their promises. 5 Likes

I can't see any promise made there. A promise is quiet different from a target. A target can either be realistic or unrealistic. He supposedly made a target he couldn't meet which I believe its a normal thing that can happen to anyone . This could be as a result of an unforseen circumstances. Nobody is perfect aside God. |

Anybody worth their onions in project management know that target dates for programs of such monumental scale do get missed but what is important is whether progress has been made. Electricity has improved and infrastructure has been put all around the country to achieve stable power supply in no distant future. |

vikyno:and u didnt watch nta when he said in 2011 while contesting then that if he wins he would settle power that four yrs is more than enough to do it. That if he cant do it then it means he cant do it even if he is given 10yrs. This man made that statement. He has nothing to offer 2 Likes |

LRNZH: Obama's time table to close Guantamono bay was not kept!!!!! It was missed woefully!!! That's the difference between aspirations and reality. That's why these dates are called target dates! They are sometimes different from actual dates! |

He promised us october 1 of this year too that i was advocating for him that i got shamed..... Jonah must gooooooo! The change has come! Let's give APC chances to see what they can perform. If we re unsure of PDP's performance in 2015-2019, then we should give APC a trial to see what they can offer us in 2015-2019. Buhari/Osibanjo... See credibility! These people are credible enough.... These people are of good repuatation. Jonathan has failed Nigerians! He's failed Yoruba! He's failed us all! His administration favours his party alone! Are you not tired of transformation agenda? We need Change! Support BUHARI 2015! Imagine ASARI Dokubo, militant in the Niger Delta saying he's going to make Yoruba land a deserted land if Jonathan is not returned to Aso Rock! What the fucking hell is their problem! Tell 'em we are not fools and we re educated! God bless South-West for us! We are capable enough of sending that man away from Aso Rock and let's pray our votes count! #solution wishes u merry xmas and peaceful EVE....! LOVE U JARE |

rebranded: are you saying the President should be an energy installation expert? are you saying it is not possible to anticipate a 6 months lead time from the manufacturers of those power turbines and end up wit 12 months lead time? or not possible to anticipate 6 weeks delivery lead time and end up with 12 weeks? As the President he has a lot of powers but somethings are still outside his control and even if Doyin Okupe might think otherwise, the President is not Jesus. He cant say "let there be light" and there was light |

mikeansy: Why don't you refer to a more pertinent issue like the target withdrawal of US ground troops from Afghanistan and Iran? How many Americans care about Gitmo as much as their ground troops in foreign countries? Electricity is more dear to Nigerians than American Forces to Americans. Get some education pls. |

mikeansy: pls look at the time frames you are quoting. GEJ got into power February, 2010. He promised stable electricity by April, 2011. This is December, 2014 with electricity generation at its worst and tarrifs at their highest. Do not make certain excuses for the Jesus of Otueke. They are too lame. |

Otueke's Jesus' cluelessness has made him really foolish. Instead of going after the lost sheep to bring back the Chibok girls, he brought back himself.

Deji....a target made public especially Power Supply in Nigeria is a promise. That is how bad we need stable power in this country. For a president to be making unrealistic targets, he/she is unreliable. No matter how you look at it GEJ is incompetent and unreliable. This is reminiscent of when GEJ's godfather IBB made a similar promise (see pic below)

You are right i didn know we Nigerian have a different lexicon ...we need electricity badly ----from 1986, till date, that is about 28 years what has successive gov been doing didnt know IBB is now GEJ godfather....if we needed it badly why didnt Buhari gov give in 1985 LRNZH: |
