so much noise have been going around about the educational status of the APC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, some are saying he is well educated while others are saying he never had formal education. To debunk all these rumours, we need to know the schools the General attended.

Does anyone have an idea which scholl Buhari attended?

bro relax I neva said he won election I meant he has become so popular on nairaland with threads on him being created and made FP like no man business mehn its like if I want my thread to make FP let it be APC related or about buhari or jonathan precisely buhari hit like if am right

He probably scored 23 in jamb but still got admission anyway seeing as he is a northerner

Sometimes some post i read tell how people sleep and wakes .
You my country people never seize from amazing me..how long shall we continue wallowing in misery and abject poverty caused by too much education abi?
And if Leadership is just about academic development while are we at a cross road now with all these Phds?
Aint we tired of playing politice with people's lives?
Honestily we are earnestly yearning for change after 16yrs of frustrations !chei!
what education,caused the nation!
illiterate or not don't care..But can he make nigeria better?
All we need now is collective actions that can move the fortunes of this nation forward period!

Before making any post,always read and digest first..The cross road we are in today was caused by illiteracy men or too Phdess?

our president is Phd holder and what have we benefit from that?Education is not the best way to tet leader's ability to rule.but nevertheless I will still tell you what I know about GMB Education.Buharl joined the Nigerian Army in 1962, when he attended the Nigerian Military Training College in Kaduna. From 1962-1963, he underwent Officer Cadets training at Mons Officer’s Cadet School in Aldershot in England, United Kingdom (Mons OCS was officially closed down in 1972).

In January 1963, Buhari was commissioned as second lieutenant, and appointed Platoon Commander of the Second Infantry Battalion in Abeokuta, Nigeria. From November 1963- January 1964, Buhari attended the Platoon Commanders’ Course at the Nigerian Military College, Kaduna. In 1964, he facilitated his military training by attending the Mechanical Transport Officer’s Course at the Army Mechanical Transport School in Borden, United Kingdom.

From 1965-1967, Buhari served as Commander of the Second Infantry Battalion. He was appointed Brigade Major, Second Sector, First Infantry Division, April 1967 to July 1967.

Buhari was made Brigade Major of the Third Infantry Brigade, July 1967 to October 1968 and Brigade Major/Commandant, Thirty-first Infantry Brigade, 1970-1971.

Buhari served as the Assistant Adjutant-General, First Infantry Division Headquarters, 1971-1972. He also attended the Defense Services’ Staff College, Wellington, India, in 1973.

From 1974-1975 Buhari was appointed Acting Director, Transport and Supply, Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport Headquarters.[9]

Other roles include:
Military Secretary, Army Headquarters,1978-1979
Member of the Supreme Military Council, 1978-1979
General Officer Commanding, Ibadan, Oyo State in 1979 and later that year he was redeployed as General Officer Commanding, Jos, Plateau State.

From 1979 -1980, at the rank of colonel, Buhari attended the US Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, United States of America and gained a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies.
