APC Not Keen On National Development – Jonathan’s Campaign Council by gratiaeo(op): 6:39am On Dec 26, 2014
Deputy National Director General of Jonathan’s Campaign Council (South) and former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, has described the comments by the Director General of Buhari Campaign Organisation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, as not showing enough evidence of genuine concern about the future of the nation.

He also said several statements credited to Amaechi and prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were misleading and capable of inciting the people to disturb public peace.

In a statement made available to newsmen, Obi, who was reacting to statements recently credited to Amaechi, that the Federal Government was treating the insurgency in the North with levity, pointed out that General Mohammadu Buhari, as an elder statesman with full access to the president, would have stepped forward with ideas on security, if he had any.

He disagreed with Amaechi’s claim that Buhari had the magic wands to end insurgency, observing that the general was being presented as an unpatriotic Nigerian who was not moved by anything except the desire to get into office and be seen as a messiah.

He wondered if patriotic Nigerians should wait for political powers before saving their country.

He warned that certain things should be seen beyond the realm of politics for the good of the country.

Obi, who recounted the efforts of Mr. President towards solving the Boko Haram menace said: “Who in this country is not aware of many bilateral meetings Jonathan had been holding with neighbouring countries to stop insurgency? Who is not aware of the invitation to even foreigners in search of solution to the menace?”

On the accusation of corruption, Obi said it was a global problem that was not peculiar to the PDP. He said everybody heard the report of how naira and dollars exchanged hands during APC conventions. He said Jonathan recognized the problem of corruption and was building institutions to stop it. Using fertilizer distribution as an example, Obi said due to institutional measures put in place, corruption in that area had been reduced by over 90 per cent.

A Leader is a reflection of the people they lead......

From my experience Buhari and his fans have the same character. Dementia and forgetfulness of the past, no map for the present, no plans for the future. Just slogans and talking head punch lines. Nigerians are to sophisticated for this type of shallow propaganda.

There's a huge difference between a leader and a follower. If you can't lead, I suggest you step down for someone to take charge and stop giving us excuses why Mr president is trying to tackle or plans he has put in place to solve terrorism and corruption that has eaten Nigeria woefully.

The zoo phd guy isnt even campaigning with merits. There is nothing tangible he could even point to. My few Ibo friends who are at home are currently cursing, and saying GEJ didnt even fix their roads (Good for them and a big tongue out).
Anyways, the MO is to attack opposition. Call them Bokoharam, Islamist, all those useless emotional jargons. Anyways, you can note their tone: that of a drowning man. Time's up motherfokaz!

When you accuse someone of being a boko haram sponsor, you expect the same person to come solve the insurgency for you?
Jonathan said boko haram members are in his government, let him fish them out and save us the situation.

Useless hypocrites! The man you wickedly accuse of being behind Boko Haram is the same man you want to approach you with solutions?

It's a complete act of idiocy to justify the GEJ-led government's inability TO EVEN PRETEND to be fighting corruption by saying it is a global problem. F00LS!
