Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose has read riot act to landlords and landladies whose houses are without toilets in any part of the state to make amends or face the consequences.

The governor spoke while featuring on his monthly Radio and Television programme tagged “Meet your Governor” in Ado-Ekiti yesterday. He issued a two months ultimatum to the defaulters to provide the facility in their homes or face prosecution. The ultimatum will elapse on February 2015

“If by the end of February 2015, we still have landlords who build or live in houses without considering toilet facilities, such landlords will be apprehended and be made to face prosecution under the state environmental law.

“I also want to add that tenants who rent such faulty houses stand the risk of facing similar penalty with their landlords”, Fayose declared.

This is a good move..

Why build a house without provision for toilet facilities?

I did my NYSC in that state,aramoko village. we have to contend with every crawling things in the bush,while answering the call of nature..

This ultimatum should be extended also to Lagos slums,where only few houses have toilet,and bathroom.

Imagine a person having to bath very early,or no bathing that day,or having to shot-put every time he wants to poo.

Some landlords are just plain wicked.

Houses without toilets!?? Like Ebonyi state..

When my Mum went house hunting, out of 4 houses she checked, just one had a toilet!! She had to have one installed in the house she finally rented. undecided

Best news from that state in a while, what I saw during nysc there no be joke
. Adults defecating by the road and greeting people passing by.
Someone will build 5 bedroom duplex and not put a single toilet.
