one of my guys was arrested yesterday.when we got there,the officer and the dpo said we should bring 5k for his bail.and there was a poster with the inscription" bail is free"in the police station.i was just wondrering,is bail really free?...the guy was arrested because he fought with someone and beat him up..so the beaten guy called d cops...we still dey look for 5k and nobody fit borrow

Yes, bail is free of course but leaving the nigerian police force cells isn't free....

av same xperience on Christmas day, a frnd of mine was arrested and lie to that he stole a phone of arnd 10k or there about, imagine what the police did, dpo no dey on 25th, they now say we should come as early as 6.30am on 26th with 50k to come and secure the bail, at the end, we path way with 20k, to secure bail for the guy, which Dpo self dnt knw anything.
