A journey of boredom. I woke up by 3am on 28th and after getting my acts together, I was off to MMIA. I got there, did the normal filling of forms and my bags were checked. Fastforward immigration screening and searching, we were sat at the waiting room for our flight. Finally we were off to casablanca. I sat with a nigerian based in UK and we spoke twice or thrice because there wasn't any entertainment. Got to casablanca and after a two hours wait, we left for jfk. It was one long and boring journey. The white guy refused to talk and I was there playing music and watching movies. The Food was terrible too. There was turbulence towards the end of the journey and peple were laughing and praying. Landing wasn't nice too but all in all we got there without problem. Poe wasn't how it was painted here. They ask u the basics and they stamp and sign ur passport. Took a shuttle bus to west haven and I am in a local hotel for now.

The cold here is guaranteed pneumonia.

Lmao! Guaranteed pneumonia my foot!
Dress warm and clad yourself very well.
You'll be fine!!!

...This morning I was clearing snow from the driveway and my eyes and nose was running uncontrollably....

I'm loving the weather!!!!

I don't think there's a limit to the number of people that can be invited. What really matters is showing the financial proof that they can sustain themselves while they will be here. The onus of financial responsibility lies not on you but on your dad/mom. What really matters is that they can show they can sponsor themselves and your siblings.

A colleague of mine graduated this december and his entire family (dad, mom, siblings) came for his commencement from Nigeria.

You'll have to write them an invitation letter inviting them to your graduation ceremony, holding on so-so day and how long you expect them to stay. Send your father/mother the letter to print. They will then book their interview date, weeks to your graduation date. He needs to have the bank statement ready to show the VO on the interview date, along with your interview letter.

Google up sample invitation letters online so you can have an idea of how to prepare and write your letter.

Please good people of NL, where can one get new/used Baron, Kaplan, Manhattan and Official ETS guide (for GRE) in Lagos or Ibadan? How much do they cost? I can't use softcopies for now.
u can always print with laserjet that prints front n back n 2pages per page, just to reduce cost, that's what I did tho.

Just as this year is coming to a momentous end, I wish to appreciate everyone who has added value to my life on this thread in the most diverse ways I ever imagined. Really grateful to a lot and cannot mention all.
My best posters are:
1.BigFancis21: He is always willing to help you no matter how little he knows about the subject matter. That guy na customer care and he has got a big heart. I hope he keeps on doing it BIG till the end of time, sir.
2. MsNas: Her posts are just too relevant. With a radiating sense of humour, she gives suggestions in an array of issues that is usually characterised by great insight and benevolence. Wish you the best in the new year and like I said earlier 'That soilder don dey barracks dey wait any stymie for your life'. Just keep doing your thing.
All the visa 'grantees', congrats and wish you a successful sojourn in the foreign land. To those who are going to the embassy in the new year, good luck.
Walspring, I am specially awaiting your breakthrough transcript which I am certain would be epic. Just keep working hard.
Horayce, my GRE prof, have a wonderful trip to obamaland and happy new year.
Happy new year, all my people.
