Get a laptop and download pdf files or instructions on things you want to learn.
Or simply ask Google, youtube or nairalanders !!!

You could look at YouTube videos which are free to ameliorate your computer skills. What exactly do you want to learn? Computers are a very vast subject that no one really is an expert. Anyone who has studied computer science knows that it is a very vast thing to study.

Yeah tablets with mobile operating systems are far different from computers with actual operating systems like Windows or Mac OS. I would definitely try to start with the basics, like what is a hard drive, mouse, monitor, keyboard, etc then define their functions in a computer system. In addition, look at basic computer training like A+ material.

I will advise you go for the laptop most especially if you a student.

Get laptop. Everything you want to know is available online

If you are the quick to learn type, get a laptop. Most of this computer schools just teach the basics and sometimes wouldn't give enough time to practice
