A New Year's resolution is a secular tradition,
most common in the Western Hemisphere but
also found in the Eastern Hemisphere, in which
a person makes a promise to do an act of
self-improvement or something slightly nice,
such as opening doors for people beginning...

let's all drop our resolutions...

these are mine

-I will try to figure out why I *really* need nine e-
mail addresses.

-I promise to clean my room once a week even
though I haven't cleaned it more than once in the
last year.

-I resolve to stop poisoning my family with my
cooking.

-I resolve not to swim in any swimming pool
without water.

I promise to stick to these resolutions for more
than a week (even though I never do).
