For refusing to touch women, muslims are not the odd one out. Read this.

A Delta Airlines flight from New York's JFK Airport to
Israel was delayed by half an hour when a group of
ultra-Orthodox Jewish men refused to sit next to
female passengers.

Delta Flight 468, bound for Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion
Airport, was reportedly held up due to several Haredi passengers refusing to to sit in their assigned seats, which were in between two women.

The delay was prolonged when the two female
passengers involved reportedly refused to move to
accommodate the men's request, claiming
discrimination.

According to Israel Radio, the stand-off was
eventually resolved when an American travelling to
Israel offered to change seats.

Ultra-Orthodox Jews cannot touch members of the
opposite sex unless they are close relatives or a
spouse.It is not the first time an international flight has been delayed due to issues about seat arrangements.

In September, passengers flying with Israeli airline El Al from New York reported a delay when Haredi
passengers refused to sit next to women and reportedly went as far as offering them money to
move.

If this had happened in Nigeria I'm sure people would tag it extremism/ fanaticism and the gleeful bashing of islam would be spewed.

you don't need to call dealta airlines I know that this story is tru. About 10% of the jewish belong to this ultra-Orthodox, they also want that there should be special places for woman in busses.

They will be financially supported by the state and were exempted from compulsory military service until 2014 . On March 12, 2014, the Knesset approved the repeal of the population perceived as unfair exemption from military service , since the number of ultra-Orthodox Jews had previously grown rapidly over the years. they will now be drawn step by step to military service .

Often the women are working, woman are often havea better training than the theological studies operated men. Usually they get married , aged 18 and 20 years and have an average of seven children. About 60 percent of the ultra-Orthodox families in Israel live in poverty
