noblezone:stop praying for bad things t o happen cos none will visit SW. I can see you are happy the NE is going through boko haram and the major reason you are supporting GEJ is cos you think he's helping you get revenge. SW were very neutral during the civil war and only intervened when ojukwu took his soldiers to ore in an attempt to liberate yoruba land that wasn't under any invasion. He only wanted to annex lagos. I know you might want to mention awolowo's role. FYI, his role ended the war and was widely sung abroad. Whatever you wish others will befall on you. I believe you guys are gearing for a repeat of 1966 all because of an ijaw man whose tribe betrayed you people and declared your properties abandoned property, something the yorubas never did- a good reason why I believe they were neutral and won't face any ill-luck you wish them. Remember how wole soyinka fought hard vocally for you people and even got jailed for it. |

superstar1:meccuno, tell me the above names don't connote the coup as an ibo coup. Ibos think they are smart that's why they involved a yoruba man thinking that will make people believe it was coup done by all tribes yet they went ahead to spare their one leaders while killing leaders of other tribes including that of the yoruba man who may not have known the true intent of the Coup. No wonder BBC tagged it an ibo coup. |

The question still remains unanswered, they are just busy beating about the bush, GEJ carry go nothing do you jor, you will be president till 2019, it is your portion, Buhari can eat pork if he wishes, even better if he decides to EAT LEAD, that is his own business. The coup by Nzeogwu is the only revolutionary coup d'Etat that Nigeria has ever had and was carried out by all tribes and sarduarna of sokoto deserves to DIE, he alongside Akintola, because these people started the mutual hatred we have for each other today, I challenge any bloody Phool to go to YouTube and type Amadu belo comment about Igbos, then tell why that man should be left alive. GEJ God is Behind you, these 1diots will not touch even a strand of your hair. |

eighTHREAD:This has shown the deception of Nigeria, 1. Niger delta never became Eastern Region they have been Eastern region and was separated because of Nigerian quest to stole Eastern region oil 2.There's no different in all igbo speaking ppl hence they have no other languages apart from igbo language, all was as a result of Nigerian media propagandist which the Niger deltans today have understand whom their real enemies are. |

eighTHREAD:Take that list to the toilet, that is where it belongs, almost all Nigerian tribes participated, the Igbos being the creme de la creme of the army (almost every sector or Nigeria) is just normal for Nzeogwu to be the leader. When it comes to anything Africa especially Nigeria, I don't go to the bbc, for example did the BBC let you know that their government supplied Nigeria more arms to fight Biafra than their own army used in the WHOLE of WWII? Coconut head, it is IGBO not ibo. |

noblezone:You are being too political about this. Okay lets assume all this statements you mention about notable APC leaders is through. What do you also make of their solidary visit to Borno where they contributed money for the people suffering the scourge from this insurgency. Remember that visit by them was at a time when Nigerians were all shouting and calling on the President to atleast visit the state which he had refused but only went there after their visit? What prevented the president and his wife from accepting that the chibok girls were abducted until the whole world started to yell about the abduction? If you are the President won't you arrest the "saboteurs" and prosecute them, while fighting the inaurgence with the zeal and seriousnesa it deserves? Did Gowon acted this way? When Biafran troops captured the midwest and were shelling parts of Lagos state, was going not taken by surprised? Was he not swift in despatching Murtala? Did he not also ensured that all these officers who were relunctant to go and fight forced to the war front, and critics of the was thrown to jail? |

eighTHREAD:On the contrary, it is my very wish to see the end to the shedding of blood in the name of Nigeria. Far be it that I should be happy over what is happening in the north east. Did you say I support Jonathan because he I think is helping me with revenge? First, you have no idea of who I am and what makes me tick. Secondly, by your statement, are you suggesting or confirming the position of the northerners that Jonathan is behind Boko Haram. Some even said it is Ihejirika, others said it is CAN and Pa Ayo, others said its Asari and some others said it is Igbos? Do you how many of our people that have died as a result of the Islamists conquest in the NE? How wrong, you have judged me, but I don't blame you! It is one of those things. And it boils down to what I am saying: Biafran war lasted for almost four years, and Nigerians did not accuse Gowon of being the master mind behind Ojukwu. They never blamed him for the death of women and children in Igboland who were suppose to be Nigerians. Rather they cheered and clapped as bombs droped on schools, hospitals, markets, churches, homes, etc. Gowon was hailed, for four years, the innocent died of hunger, deceases and bombs and it is all justified That is by the way. All I am saying is this, it is mischief to tackle and sabotage Jonathan over the fight agaisnt Boko Haram and also turn around to blame him. WAEC wrote to the the governor of Adamawa permit for them to conduct exams only at Borno and not at places like Chibok. The Governor refused ad threatened them. He promised security but provided none. The girls were picked without any resistance. The girls were betrayed by those who should protect them and Jonathan was made a scapegoat. During OBJ, expatriates were kidnapped in the Niger Delta, some of them were killed, yet nobody called OBJ clueless! How we forget so soon! Finally, I do not wish any evil to befall the south west. I am only warning with a hindsight of an eagle, that the issues that lead to this blood letting are still with us. And if we continue to ignore them, then blood will continue .to flow 2015 elections is another focal point. Blood will still flow due to drag for power! It is a shame. |

eighTHREAD:I didn't say that....but the same british are the ones that caused the crisis in israel with the arabs........there was a coup, and you make the announcement based on the tribe of people involved which was very unnecessary........@ the end of the day we know how well the british prosecuted the war.......in constant supply of ammunitions to the federal govt.....it wasn't because they loved us,they did it to stir up tribal sentiments which worked because Nigeria was their business were they made their money from....so I wasn't expecting less from them.....right now in the UN they abstained from votes to recognise palestine as a state how do you trust people like that? After that coup, which other coup had ethnic coloration?? None......they just exhibited their promise of bringing the igbos down .....if you don't believe me check ahmadu bellos interview and check what he said about the igbos........its on you tube |

noblezone:Since there is a state of emergency, the governors of Born and Adamawa should step down. This is not the case, these governors remain on seat and refuse to play their roles as "chief security officers". We are not deceived.

quid:the North is a place where religion is mixed with politics....after the war, they believed that the war was won by them.........a victory against the infidels....they don't even recognise the SW......I know the bad things they say about the yoruba tribe.....not nice....but am really surprised the alliance which exist with the SW and the North.....there are so many examples to show that an alliance with them is just in futility.......the crises happening in the north they can't say they are not aware of it....you can quote me.....any president who is voted massively by the population of Nigerians not supported by the North would create crises.......they are playing games.......Nigeria is backward because of this.......if Nigeria would become a nation and start moving in the right direction, they would be the loosers because most things they got wasn't based on merit.... |

eighTHREAD:please give me a better option.....I was disappointed with the fact that with all the technocrats in the south......and North....SE and SS.....all APC could produce was someone lesser than GEJ.......it only showed that the leadership of APC was playing politics with the future of Nigerians.......the truth is,an igbo man wouldn't even want to see a northerner there not to talk of a northern muslim...... Why? Because they have benefited anything from their government.....remember ojukwu was jailed by buhari without reason........how do you expect them to trust you with such person? I don't blame the igbos for doing this.....what they experienced during the war isn't something u wish for your enemy....but the SW do not understand this fact.....what they do is accuse igbos of being proud, aggresive, get rich or die trying attitude, trying to be smart........but the truth is,those traits brought them to the level they are in.....try to understand where the igbos are coming from before you judge or criticise.....thanks |

quid:That is the mistake you guys are making! This is not a military regime, but democracy. What does state of emergency mean? Okay, because OBJ broke the law and removed governors, then Jonathan should also follow suit. Perhaps, i order for Jonathan to show that he has balls, he should order armored thanks and war planes to level Chibok like OBJ did at Odi and Zakibiam? No sir. Jonathan is not a heartless tyrant in the category of our wicked Generals. He is a leader ad not a ruler. Now hear this: State of emergency does not mean you remove the Governors, the office of the governor, is more administrative than security. The same with office of the President. Security is the job of the law enforcement agents. By the way, had Jonathan found a way of removing those Governors, the "progressives" would had tied to 2015 elections. |

The difference is Ojukwu was an Army Officer, a Colonel, and many of the Biafra Army were Army officers, so the war was always going to be difficult to win. Shekau and his army are a bunch of unemployed youth with no formal training. You can't compare this insurgency to the Biafra war. Watch how Gowon handled the press and regularly communicated to the nation during the war, unlike Jonathan who has not even given an open press conference since the war started and has only addressed the nation once or twice. |
