I'm just laughing at this man, he thinks we Nigerians are gullible..

Yes, we are gullible, very gullible for that matter! I want to speak as a neutral body here! Now we now sing songs of praise for those that contributed to the failure of this country! Firstly, let me start with the so called Messiah ! We now believe that GMB who gladly took up appointment with the late dictator, one of the most corrupt leaders this country has produced, not only did he took up the appointment but he was solely responsible for how PTF fund was spent without being audited. Your acclaimed Messiah single handedly hired the company that executed all the PTF projects. It may also interest you to know that he was PTF chairman for the North alone .Secondly, Tinubu who is now championing the course for change, happens to be one of the most corrupt public office holders of our generation, a man that has mortgaged lagos and turned it to his family business venture.

Finally, about 75% of APC members are PDP decampees! who contributed to the problem of past and present administrations...My brother you can see now that we are very gullible and we forget things easily. Some times, I wonder why we still clamour for GEJ and GMB...let us take a look at the list of the Presidential aspirants and pick out one reliable candidate and vote for that candidate, then let us see if heaven will fall.

No be to dey make noise.

Jonathan will not get less than 50% of cast votes from South West. He will get at least 35% of votes in the North West and North East while the North Central will give Jonathan at least 60% of the votes.

The Chibok Girls issue is unfortunate. However, all Nigerians should unite in condemning and combating terrorism. Trying to make political capital from the debacle is not smart if you ask me.

Jonathan seriously needs to learn how to put words together that adequately reflect the SUCCESS recorded by his administration against corruption as recognised by credible organisations like Transparency International and shows up in improved infrastructure, agriculture & service delivery.

Please, confirm if you are actually the one here because it's not your usual signature. How can he put the words together effectively when what he wants to express is complete fallacy? To tell lies is difficult. That is the basis for the lie detector (polygraph). If GEJ is made to undertake a polygraph while preaching this sermon, it will crash because of too many lies and insecerity.

More than anyone that has ruled this nation Nigeria, Mr. Goodluck Jonathan has had the best set of opportunities, time, resources, exposure and support to become the best President over the affairs of Nigeria; yet he squandered these things and made a mockery of everything invested and expected of him. Statements as this (and many more previous ones) makes me wonder if he's the real Jonathan Goodluck that went through all those stages before becoming the President. Maybe a cabal 'switched' him or did some kind of brain transplant for him.

GEJ is not entitled to a second term in office. Six years is enough for an incompetent leader to rule. If he had performed well I would be the first person to vote him for a second term, but based on his performance my conscience cannot allow me to support foolishness. He has done nothing to deserve another term.

The constant problem that runs through your comments is that you generalized a lot.

I assure you that there is a sizable number of those that will vote that regularly come online. ...most informed Nigerians have access to online new sites and forums like this.....and the opinions online largely represents voters choice.
You make me laugh.

My assertion on the impact of the social media vis-a-vis the forthcoming election was in no way ascribing victory to Buhari/APC online. Both sides of the divide are on the same footing as could be seen in sundry online platforms.

I will appreciate if you can take off some time and do an informal survey so as have some comparison between fantasy and reality.

I think I've made you to get it clear...don't think this election is all done and dusted yet for any party....it's going to be the most close contest in the history of electioneering in Nigeria....it will definitely go down to the wire.

I only hope that INEC will be up to the challenges.

Don't compare military rule with civilian era. We're practicing democracy now under a constitution. Nowhere in the constitution of Nigeria does it say that north and south should exchange rulership every two terms.
You are the one playing geopolitical politics by saying that your man should be allowed to stay in power simply because he is not from the northern part of the country. I am only concerned with voting for the person that can do a better job of managing the country's resources for me and my children and generations yet unborn. All the money wasted under Jonathan will still be paid for by my children and your children.
By the way I never supported OBJ's third term agenda. It was very wrong and I was glad when the plan didn't work and he left. I will be glad when GEJ is gone this year by God's grace.

Granted that Jonathan needs to raise his game.

However, most of what I am hearing some people hold against Jonathan range between a desire to assuage tribal sentiments and outright blackmail.

I believe that Jonathan is the best option for the country now while we begin to evolve as a developed society. Jonathan has allowed civil and press liberties to thrive and that is a veritable building block for democracy.

He needs to get more time to consolidate our gains in the entrenchment of democracy. All we need is an organic growth that would be enduring. Nigeria cannot afford to gamble on her national unity and longevity.

Though the process might look slow, but we shall surely get there.

Beware of magicians!

We agree that all politicians are bad irrespective of their political affiliations. They promise and under deliver. They align with the worst just so they can service their selfish interest.

However, it's even more dangerous for Nigerians to sit back and re-elect a non performing clueless one. Voters are meant to express their displeasure through their votes. You can't send Jonathan back in for another 4 years and expect a change in fortune.

We should always demand change through the ballot and 4 years is a long time to gamble considering the current dynamics in world economics

The powers that be didn't allow him to build a corrupt free society. He worked tirelessly for his party, family, ally and friends. They kept stealing and when any of them are caught, he quickly turns a blind eye. There are things he shouldn't be saying.

My take is that the guys that work for him knows he isn't very smart and have hijacked his government looting every available dollar in sight. Please wake up your excellency and face reality. The rest of Nigeria are too smart apart from your supporters from the south east.

These are pointers and signs we've been ignoring

Indecision. Saying something will happen and then saying it won't

Eg, fuel subsidy , surep funds , surep bus of all Nigerians , non of which succeeded

Lack of plan. E.g. he's just planning an anti corruption crusade since 6 years

Too much cool. He's so cool that he's become so irritating

Cluelessness. Eg , announcing wrong information and making stupid statements e.g All Nigerians have light , stealing Is not corruption

There's a man out there with a plan , with the agility and the experience and the connection and the military respect required to run this country

Vote GMB this is a serious matter no be moinmoin

Jonathan's speech yesterday again conveyed his vision and understanding of the Nigerian problem.
This man my mean well but by far, he lacks the guts or drive to redeem Nigeria from the bowels of corruption.
Jonthan is slow. The worst part is, he wants all Nigerians to ride along at his slow pace and think it as being patient and virtuous.
In 5 more years to come, we would still be in one place. Patiently waiting.

Its so clear as I discuss with people- people who still defend jonathan or support his presidency etc do so based on ethnic and religious considerations.
I'm Ibo but its so sad that a great majority of Ibos are guilty of this.
We need a man with drive and firm hand to dust Nigeria up, not someone who contantly begs for patience and gives excuses on national TV.

Mr Labaran Maku, the immediate past Minister of Information, on Thursday, clearly pointed out that his ambition to contest in the 2015 governorship election in Nasarawa State is intact.
The former minister said this while delivering his New Year Message at St. Williams Cathedral, Lafia.

labaran Maku said that even though he lost at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election based on some irregularities done, he was still moving on with his ambition to contest in the 2015 governorship election.
He also said that the Appeal Panel had yet to respond to the petition he submitted to it on the outcome of the state’s governorship primaries conducted by the PDP. in his own words, he said and i quote-.. GEJ just woke up from his 6yrs sleep , only to realize that he was dreaming when he said that stealing is not corruption, and now he wants to bring up a plan to fight it.
Too late, he has wasted our precious time and resources, he should go back to his sleep and wake up on May 30th , in a new Nigeria, where
Stealing + Corruption = Jail Term
