Am just 27, and I graduated 2013, I fortunately secure an inventory officer's job by April 2014..I got called by nysc 2014 batch "B", so I quit d 70k job 2serv mai fada's land..mai pretty Fiancee called dat she ws preg during ma 7dayz in d nysc camp hmn...immediately, my whole strategy $ plans changed..
So I decided 2 lie 2ma principal, mai L.I and my CLO dat I ws already workin wit a bank and dat I av a preg wyf...
So ma Li released me and ma principal on d grand of moni tinz....
So! Right now av bin in lagos sinc 2to 3monts ago searchin 4a job wit ma hnd only, I got a job fortunately by Oct. In a fishin coy $fortunately I ws appointed 4wat I studied in sch gangan (Accountant)
@mai 2nd day in office d regiona director of d coy came visitin and ask 2talk 2m bein the new accountant da ws jus hired u kno??
These ar d comments she made "Mr Tope..kindly come along wit d originalz of all ur credentials 2d offic 2moro 4verification includin ur NYSC CERT./EXEMPTN LETA hmmn!!
Hearing diz ma head started spining wit thousandz of pains I dnt kno wat 2do again weda 2tell her d trut immediately or 2fake an exemptn leta, bur itz vry sure if I xplain 2her I might loose d job sinc datz d policy of most coys...so I got om and started tinking of wher 2get an exemptn leta or nysc cert. And sinc av nt yet gotten either I decide 2fake an exemptn leta or tell d trut 2d woman..
Den d day came and she phone ma office dat ashu bring doz documents b4 2pm
Den by 2pm I got 2her offic and xplain my ordeal 2her, den she smiled and said I ws a thief and nidz 2b arrested dat hw wud I be deceivin d govt of a country and stealin dia Allawi wen I kno I ws nt ready 2serv dem(my country)
Den I started pleading
D 3rd day d coy's Auditor presented a sack leta 2me!!!
So, da ws hw I loose a job of 75k and mai proffession job..
So, do u pple tink av takin d wrong decision by sayin d truth instead of me 2av faked an exemptn leta 2present 2da woman?

Now I av gotten anoda offer by a bank and we'v bin asked 2present awa originals by Jan 5th!!!
Now advic me, shud I fake an exemption leta or nysc cert. Or shud I disclose my ordeal 2d recruitment officer as I did wit d fishery company...bur I dnt wana loos diz again oo

Dude, pack your bags and go and serve your father land.
There are millions currently in the military who set aside their personal gain/enjoyment to fight boko haram so that you and me can live.

Your country calls you to the only duty that will be forcefully required of you. Answer the call of duty.

from your stories, it seems you are lucky in getting jobs. But remember what happens when it is discovered that you faked your nysc exemption letter, it will be the beginning of doom for you. Just have patience, in your ppa look for other things to do that will fetch little money or jobs that will not require this document so as to bring in little cash, before you know it the year will run out fast and you will be happy you didnt forge it. Remember your forged exemption letter will follow you all the days of your life. Act wisely!!!

If you have the connection of getting two jobs simultaneously with the current economic situation in Nigeria it means you should be able to work your NYSC posting to a good company with a good pay. That way you get to have ur allawee plus the company salary while serving. NYSC isnt necessarily slavery as you seem to be insinuating. Go back and serve, try and get a good company that will pay you well and who knows, you might even be retained. If you forge an exemption letter you will forever be living under the fear that you might be caught one day. Better do things the right way bro

just managed to read through just to know the end. Without any fear of contradiction, I can boldly tell that you have been cheating all your life! You have cheated all your life especially in school. That certificate is an abuse in your hands. Don't try to defend anything. Your write up and writing shows who you are. You are lucky your ex boss let you off so easily. As someone rightly said, you have luck /connection in getting jobs. People who are better qualified aren't that lucky. My final bullet - go back to serve.

Listen up, OP, stop being deluded. You can't fake an exemption letter when it's obvious you are not above 30 years. That said, go and complete your service year. If you can secure all these jobs you mentioned, be rest assured you won't be jobless for long after service year. I understand the weight of responsibility on your shoulders with your pregnant fiancee, you can only hope things get better. You can start a private coaching class for students in your school... that should fetch you some money.

Forging NYSC cert/exemption letter is a punishable offence. Prisons aren't built for animals. Thread carefully.

I think writing in short forms is to save time and when writing for your personal friends. What's the essence of using "mai" instead of "my" which of them is shorter?

When writing for people you do not know personally, use the formal form of writing not slangs. Some of these slangs are only understood by you.

Moreover, mind your tenses, they can mess someone up anytime.

Dear op. Why trying to be faster than your shadow? Two wrong does not make a right. As for your write up, there seems to be so many 'color up in it'. There is no shortcut to success. Go and complete the NYSC scheme.

You're lucky you didn't present a forged exemption letter. You would have been writing us from the police cell by now.

I guess you are still in Secondary school. NYSC doesn't work as you think. Once you have been assigned a PPA and accepted, its difficult for you to change to a better place.
To make the matter worse worse, He might be in a dry State or Local govt. Area that has little or no companies that requires his service and willing to pay well .

My advice is for you to accept your faith or you simply look for jobs that will pay less without necessarily asking for your NYSC certificate. Please forget the idea of forging a certificate @ OP

THIS is how u advice someone,spot on no hating and raining abuses

I am currently serving in far away benue state,but i have a job in lagos,doesnt pay much but its okay for me than to stay in some far away land collecting 19800 as salary,nysc is not worth it any day any time,aside the fun in camp for 3weeks...my point is if u have somthing doing i advice you ghost your service year and concentrate on your current job,because on the long run u going to regret leaving your job to teach some primary school kids,no offence to corpers o,i just think nysc is a waste of time,life and human resource

Its either you influence it from camp (once you meet the right people) or you ask for a rejection letter. A lot of my friends during our service asked their PPA point blank for a rejection letter and were given. They then got a letter from their preferred PPA and took it to the NYSC office and were officially reposted to that PPA. My lawyer friends who were posted to secondary schools asked for rejection letters, got letters from chambers and were reposted to those chambers.
I repeat, once you already have a PPA willing to take you, then being posted there isn't hard at all. At worst you would have to part with a little amount to the NYSC officials to make things smoother. The fact that you were ignorant while you were serving doesn't mean he can't do it.
He should also influence his posting to a state of his choice.

my brother, I understand ur dilemma. to me, I thinks u shld inform the organisation that u havnt gone for nysc, nd state the conditions of ur wife, plead to them to allow u work in their organisation as an nysc and ask dem to pay u 70 to 80% of what they are to pay u, just tell dem to allow u serve in the coy nd u myt b retained after d service. This is just d best option, cus wat if u lie nd de get to know abt it somehow? Your story is only good for someone that is about to go for service . It is not useful for OP as He has been accepted already.

Hi Tammy. I understand what you are passing through but trust me, you would not want to submit fake documents to structured organizations expecially banks because I work with one. If you do, it will bomerang. You and I know if you go back to your PPA, things would not be as bad as you painted it. You can make extra income while at your PPA and family members will be there to support you. Be it your family members or your fiancee's. The consequences of submitting deceptive documents can ruin your career life. Pray to God and get divine guidance. Cheers.
