I agree with this point as well. Cowardice and greed combined to undermine the PDP. GEJ induced and bullied his way to gaining a ticket his abject performance would have automatically disqualified him from seeking in a sane Party that is about the progress of a nation above everything else. GEJ running as the PDP candidate is very good for the APC because it means the PDP has nothing at all to sell GEJ on and must now rely on spreading negative propaganda and 'money politics'. SAdly for GEJ and the Pdp, Nigerians are in no mood for these antics.

After the election they will be the first to pounce on him. Getting them addicted to easy access to the treasury and then losing the office that holds the key. I pray for saner leadership, not this avaricious mob, where billionaire militants feel free to threaten and kill as they please and bh claims 20,000 square miles of Nigerian territory. Even a fool must recognise that pdp has better materials than Jonathan but our tradition of 'worshipping' people who attain a certain office, has caused them to muzzle the truth, while hoping for the best. I truly await the presidential debates, but I am not sure he would like that to happen, with his tendency of putting foot in mouth.

You are absolutely correct. Many are supporting GEJ because they feel he represents the best chance for a continuation of the 'free for all' looting these enemies of progress are enjoying. These selfish folks will regret their choice once GEJ is deposed because it will be obvious they have gambled and lost everything.
