Now compare this kind of journalism where the name of the Army spokesman was named and quoted compared to the other report where a Brig. Gen. Nameless Source was quoted repeatedly by Vanguard Newspaper .

As for Buhari, he's a senior man. He believes barking is allowed, provided you do not bite. He never dignified them with a response. I wonder how some people would eat/sleep tonight. This news is heartbreaking!

But to reply your question, I honestly don't know. But I'm guessing they should request for sighting of the originals during verification exercise of the contestants by INEC.
