The man has been arrested by the police after
allegedly raping a teenager who came to his
house to pluck bitter leaf.

A 72-year-old landlord simply known as Nnamdi
is currently in police net for allegedly raping a
15-year-old girl who was sent to his compound
for an errand. According to reports, Nnamdi raped
the girl who came to pluck bitter leaf at his
compound close to the popular Infant Jesus Road
junction in Asaba. Nnamdi according to residents in the area had been complaining about people who come into the compound to pluck the leaves without his permission and decided to make an example of the next person who comes. The young girl was
unfortunately sent to pluck the leaves when the landlord allegedly decided to punish her by raping her.

The evil landlord sneaked up on the girl while she
was plucking the leaves, lifted her and took her to
his bedroom where he allegedly forced himself on
the 15-year-old girl. Delta State Police
spokeswoman, DSP Celestina Kalu, confirmed the arrest of the suspect and revealed that the man admitted to raping the girl.

“ The suspect during interrogations revealed that
he had planned to beat up the person who was
caught stealing his bitter leaf if it was a boy and
also planned to rape the person if it was a woman,
which was what he did ,” DSP Celestina Kalu said.
