It is a big shame my brother. In the 21st Century we are still grappling with issues of electricity supply when our contemporaries are busy landing space-crafts on mars!

Just the other day, someone opened a thread screaming that they recorded 24hrs steady power supply in Abuja!! I was like WTF!!! Is this guy for real??

Imagine what a foreigner would think of the country when they see stuffs like that.

When GMB became President in 1983, power generation was not in the top priority of Nigeria. Nigeria was in massive debt, with hyper inflation and corruption. GMB tackled all these. Before he could face other issues like power, IBB sacked him.
GMB was president for 20 months only so you can't blame him for power. We had bigger problems to tackle first.

Compare that with GEJ's 60 months as President. Nothing to show for it.

Such a shame. And wen some of these TANoids manage to get small light they come online and start exaggerating they've been having 24hrs light. These guys need to take a stroll to Benin republic and see how organised they are. Constant light and water is being provided by Société béninoise d'énergie électrique (SBEE) only one company. You have your meter for both electricity AND water. And whenever they want to do something like taking the light (for maintenance purposes) or water (to wash their tanks) its being announced on radio. That's wat you call organisation and some ppl are here celebrating mediocrity. We really have a long way to go

Most nigerians are addicted to suffering..............They will be the one campaigning inside the sun for this same stup*d president when we dont enjoy basic amenities as a citizen. Power supply poor,petrol price to high.

You mean Buhari tackled our economy problems in 83, by imprisoning political leaders..Mostly from the west..

The Buhari led government in 83 introduced a comprehensive package of austerity measures. It closed the country's land borders for a period to identify and expel illegal alien workers and placed severe restrictions on imports and heavy penalties on smuggling and foreign exchange offenses. The austerity measures made it difficult for local industries to procure essential imported raw materials, leading many of them to close or to operate at greatly reduced capacity. Many workers were laid off, and government itself retrenched many workers to increase its "cost effectiveness." All of these actions were accompanied by high inflation. The price of basic food items rose, and life became increasingly difficult, even for the affluent.

There are more credible people in Nigeria than can rule than both of them.. Some are even contesting now.
