I think they are actually afraid, that is why they want to sell their birthright, did i use the word 'sell'.
They are not even selling their birth-right, they are being cowered into submission of their inalienable rights to also rule as citizens of this country.

Only the wise can see this opportunistic crude grab of power from Power-Hungry people.

This north is a fuc/king joke! What are we gaining from them as a country besides them increasing our nationwide population to unmanageable levels and islamic-inspired terrorism!? All they know is fighting for power, and one should not be surprised to find those huge numbers they're returning as registered voters have a large percentage of the underaged and illegal immigrants from Niger, Chad and Mali!

Besides them encouraging mass breeding to increase their numbers, they also -over the past 4 decades- have turned a blind eye to illegal immigrants from the aformentioned countries! All this is done in order to get a larger slice of the federal allocation and have a ready large population to influence voting during national elections; besides these reasons, can anyone else tell me of what use their purported large population has been to the country?

Has anyone ever wondered why just Kano is almost as populated as the entire Niger Republic.....even as both peoples have similar cultures? It because -apart from the fraud of past census in the country- much of the population from Niger have relocated to northern Nigeria!

i probably know about the 2011 election voting pattern more than you do.

Using the past to judge the future, you must take in to cognisance what happened in between the past and the present.

Buhari will get 2/3rd of Sw votes at least 4 million, and some 1 million + from the 11 SS/SE states., that is 5 million from the south.

NW with 11 m votes, he will pick another roughly 9 million votes. NE with 5million, another 3.5 million votes NC with 5.5 million votes, he will pick close to 3 million votes. Do the maths.

Check 2011 election pattern

GEJ had 1/3 votes in the far North
2.5/3 votes in the MB

2.9/3 votes in the SS/SE

PDP just repeating the pattern again.
In 2011 pdp won the required number of votes in the north with the use of child voters. I suspect there will still be child voters this time also, but the child voters will vote the other way.
In south west people just decided to give him the opportunity to get some shoes since he had none and because of religious sentiments. But now that he has more than enough and with a RCCG senior pastors in APC, gej is a goner.
The votes in SS will be shared in feBUHARI

igbos that will soon start running away from other regions for fear of electoral violence? huh And do not forget that the west stood by GEJ in 2011 but this year, the inclusion of Osinbajo on buhari's ticket, support of Tinibu, Fashola and all former ACN members things are different. Stop living in 2011.. This is 2015.. APC is matching PDP campaign for campaign, propaganda for propaganda, money for money, rigging for rigging..
