cjrane:^^^I think Governor Rochas was thinking along those lines you speak of when the Imo state gov't commissioned what i call (for want of a better name) the Igbo heritage center in Enugu last year! Don't know if it's already completed and put to use though! The area looks like Independence Layout! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AhMB3iZfmc |

IGBOSON1:Whatever they had in mind, one hopes they add a section as Igbo history national museum. Mostly out of our usual way of thinking our own cultural heritage isn't important, those type of building will devote all the rooms as offices or some type of hall. I once read a racist comment somewhere that black people had no intellectual culture or education system before the coming of the white man to Africa.Such lie could have held if an ancient text was not found in Egypt which referred to a university in Timbouctu, Mali! Which showed the Timbouctu mosque was also a university in those days. My point being that because the Egyptians had a practice of documenting their achievements, none could deny that they were "enlightened" before the whiteman . Preserving our culture isn't just a smart thing to do, it can also yield revenue through being a tourist attraction! |

OreMI22:Very simple, just build shops which will cost nothing but cement and sand. As soon as the shopping complex or market is ready, give them one or two years notice to move to the shops or risk demolition. Go to Gariki Awkunanaw, you will be shocked that many shops have been lying waste for almost 20 years, yet all the roads there are impassable due to street traders. What do you say about motor parks, which public transporters don't bother to use, instead they prefer blocking the roads while loading passengers. It will cost nothing but proper planning and implementation to bring sanity on our streets. Things are this way because the government neglect those areas. It's not about money, it's about planning. When any government decides to bring change to the people, it requires nothing but the will, and the people themselves have got no choice than to follow suit, though they may complain initially. |

Cjrane whenever you are posting pictures of other places please try to label it clearly, it gets people confused at times and you are fond of it even on the Anambra thread. It can make people doubt the credibility of the other pictures on the particular thread. Thanks. |

Jonathan's information managers are not helping Mr president at all. I noticed this flaw during PDP Presidential campaign at Enugu. Many people were waiting to hear what Mr President will say he did for Ndi Enugu that would make Enugu people vote for him. Apart from upgrade of Enugu International Airport, many believe there was nothing else to show. But Surprisingly, Mr Jonathan during his campaign speech specifically said that FG constructed about 200km of roads in Enugu state. Some Ndi Enugu doubted it. Some said it was a political lie. But low and behold it was true. It took my intervention to put the record straight in a post where many APC e-touts where shouting, "it is a lie", he did nothing for ndi Enugu". In Enugu state, Awgu-Mgbidi-Maku-Achi road was constructed by FG. Ozalla-Udi old road done by FG. Nsude-Udi-Nachi-Ugwuoba-Amansea road done by FG. Among others. It is the duty of the Jonathan information managers to outline these achievements and put it at the door steps of all Nigerians and shut APC up. GEJ has done well. |

waternogeteneny:GEJ may have under performed in the SE principally because the northerners staged an insurgency for him, it will be suicidal for any Igbo person to support APC or Buhari. Remember Junaid Muhammed,Ciroma, Kwankwaso and Hell Rufai said they have evil plans for Igbos. Who know what they planned to do? These are the men that will be running APC. A word is enough for the wise..... |

cjrane:Their evil and demonic plans against Igbos include, capping are aspirations through political conspiracy with the Yorubas both in the house and executive branch, destroy the entertainment industry, nollywood or have the whole industry under the yorubas, exploit innoson to its demise, tax the hell out of Igbo diaspora sending money through the western Union(others will be effected though), application of sharia nation wide to the believers and what follows next...., provide settlements to fulani herdsmen all over the country and back by law, encourage them to defend themselves in any community they may find themselves, the most dangerous, will be to make the local governments independent of the state and dependent to the Federal Government for revenue allocation, go after pretty Igbo girls and try to marry or convert some to Islam and much more and more and more. Am I making any sense or not?. |

"go after pretty Igbo girls and try to marry or convert some to Islam and much more and more and more" Very true my friend! Abuja National mosque is more like a place they groom politicians and convert young pretty girls. I have been there couple of times, under the pretex of being a new convert. I saw lots of pretty new converts on the back seat of a large hall close to the main gate. They teach koran from a blue Book called "The Young Muslim". 70% of the new converts are igbo, very pretty igbo girls! |
