Lmao @ the bold. You wanna get ya hands dirty in politics, no? - I like that. But I don't trust you cos your mentality revolves around capitalism and a lot of Yank-centric ideas, and I doubt you can align that with Yoruba consciousness effectively. You need to tweak a bit. tongue

I wanna rule Lagos one day as well, but I don't know if these folks will allow me to do that, albeit Nigerian politics just look too dirty. I've got a lot of interesting ideas, and won't mind contributing in any capacity, though. Just Lagos.
I have big plans for Ondo state. I just need time to get one or two things out of the way and she will get my full attention (5 yrs ish). I have a lot of folks in local politics so i understand how the game works. That being said thou, We will bring another version of politics and change the electorate's perception on how government works. By the time we are done with, they will be begging us to stay.

Change wont start directly from contesting for elections. We will start with soft change by hijacking the resources, services, and other vital organs of the state to give us leverage with the corrupt government that will probably be in power then. We will have the state by the balls within 1-2 decades throu a consortium of multinational organizations. and we will and start to effect change. We wont give them a choice.

Leave Mimiko, let him keep selling the state, we are waiting for him

I dont want to give too much a way.

The sentence in bold sounds scary...and that's more reason why I'm scared of ya capitalist ideas. Why do you need to have the state by the balls though multinational organisations? Don't tell me you're part of the young Africans they're training to re-colonise the continent, by buying off everything?

Here is our resident computer genius, mr phd himself, doing computery things.

He's so computer literate he operates one without even turning it on.

Or maybe he's too clueless to know its not even turned on.

Only radical ideas can change Africa. Young intelligentsia and selected professionals from the old guard need to save the continent. They need to agree on new rules on how to develop Sub Sahara Africa.

The consciousness you mentioned earlier is a good thing but the process is too slow and counter productive. This election is a case study. It is scary to know that Jonathan might still be president for four more years after failing woefully. His chances are still very good and that has to do with the consciousness you are preaching.(not that i have anything against him but a typical electorate wont vote based on critical thinking even if it is not Jonathan) The few radicals need to gang up and join resources to save everyone.

This will only be achieved by beating them at their own game which is acquiring the resources in other to have leverage and force our radical ideas to get things going
They need to be saved from themselves

nb: When i was talking about multinationals. I only meant African multinationals or African shell companies fully controlled by elite Africans hypothetically.

The outcome of this election will definitely change the theory significantly. Let's see

Dumbest thing to say, as CinC you have all resources at your disposal, you just have to have good coordination skills.

Its this the best they can come up with.

If truly these words were from Mimiko, then PDP has failed. We talk about issue based campaign not attack on personality. I rather vote a computer illiterate than vote a chameleon who fight for all flags in the name of money, fame and position.

Mr "Computer Literate" Mimiko saying they don't know how to click computer, what does that even mean? I'm Dep CEO of my company, my boss is almost 70 he knows his way around the computer but not nearly as much as me. So here's what happens, when anything serious/confidential needs to be done on the computer I step in. When we need someone with experience to solve a problem, he steps in. Guess what? Company hasn't collapsed, as a matter of fact the company is having one of its best periods ever.

Personally, I just don't like the ideas of trying to solve Africa's unique problems with foreign ideas, especially with folks who're just only interested profiteering and exploiting the continent and its people. The radical change has to be from within, with ideas built around things that're quintessentially Africa a la Steve Biko's black consciousness.

Multinationals can always get involved if the relationship will be symbiotic. However, if your solution is a situation whereby they will have the people by the balls, then it's problematic. And also the reason why the continent has refused to grow and develop.

I think Awolowo created a nice blueprint, though it might not be perfect for the current clime. How about use that as the nucleus of whatever you plan to do, with more ideas to align it with the current consciousness? Multinationals are hawks - they're always in it, for what they can get. Africa for Africans!

Anyway, rather than letting outsiders acquire the resources as a leverage to take over. I'd prefer you getting dirty with them, by aligning with the most powerful ones - and playing them dirty, once you get to the top. Once you let multinationals take over everything - getting it back from is the is the most difficult thing to do.

Is this what you wish Nigeria?
Yes sir because it doesn't hinder progress. The biggest engineering firms hire fresh graduates every year so that they don't ever fall behind because they don't really expect someone that graduated 40 years ago to be conversant with the latest trends. Not being knowledgeable about technology not common during your time is not bad, what's bad is when you refuse it and don't want to move with the times. From what I know and I've seen, Buhari is definitely open to the new trends. Dude joined Twitter, his team is using the social media better than the opposition. His team are young, I know his campaign photographer a very young guy also, his graphics guys are definitely young. This is what matters to me not that he personally can't "click" computer

I edited my post. When i was talking about multinationals, I was talking about the ones that would be set up by the people effecting the change themselves and it will be under their total control like a trust. It will be sold back to the states after the system have been properly sanitized. and their is an effective system in place. This is an African project. has nothing to do with any foreign power.

The outcome of this election will significantly change the theory. Lets see how the sheeple vote.

I agree, Africa for Africans

Im from your state here in Ondo, Mimiko you are one of the most stupid governors in Nigeria, you have been stealing ondo state money right from the time you graduated from school, you served military and civillian governors as a commissioner, you served as a minister and now two times governor, are you the only one in the state? Is Ondo state your father's property?who are you to decide who the good people of Ondo state will vote for?you defected from AD to PDP, from PDP to LABOUR now back to PDP.....you are a bloody civilian tyran/dictator and speaks from both mouths, you will end up in jail when BUHARI assumed power 2015 by God grace, along with many of your gangs in PDP that stole our commonwealth. THE PEOPLE OF ONDO STATE HATE YOU MIMIKO WITH PASSION FOR YOUR CRAFTY AND CHAMELEON WAYS.

So by 'clicking' computer, it will put food on our table? So far APC's campaign is far better than PDP's own, all they have been doing is name calling and petty insults instead of addressing the issues at hand.

Alright, be more explicit next time. Multinational consortium sounds scary as fvck. grin

Anyway, it's about building a structure, and getting dirty in 'em streets. I think that's where you win/lose political battles in naij, alie?

However, out here we've got a different plan/blue-print that will blow folks away like a hurricane. cool

As for this election, looking at all the permutations, I don't see GEJ winning. The Buhari man just needs to win the NW, SW, and one other zone. GEJ looks more like a lame-duck president right now. Good riddance cos I'm tired of seeing his fvcked face and the huge pinocchio-esque nose. grin
