I didn't even have Paul's statement in mind when I typed that. Paul's experience wasn't because it was so unique in a way different from ours. That statement was born out of a complete and accurate understanding of his inheritance in Christ.

We have to understand that all Jesus did, he did for all of us. He ministry was vicarious. He died, overcame death(both spiritual death and physical death) and was given power over death. That was why death couldn't hold him back when it was time for him to come up. Now, that victory and power over death was credited to our account. He came and said all power in heaven n on earth is given me. Go ye therefore (in this authority). No wonder d holy ghost said through Paul in 2Tim 1:10 Jesus abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. And Paul came up and made another bold statement in 1cor 15:55 "O death where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory?" & in vs 57 he said thanks be 2 God who gives us the victory through Christ.
When we understand that death is not just a cessation of life, all this will become clear. Death is a spirit. The Bible does show that. And this place in Hebrews 9 that says it is appointed unto men once to die didn't mean it can just come and take us out just anytime. What is says is that everyman has an appointment with death one day or d other. Everyman born into this world must leave through death but it's up to u to decide when. That's why Elijah and Enoch will have to come back and die (according to the book of revelation) Death can come anytime but if u'r not ready, u can tell it to go.

What is given to us is the ability to know thus if death wants to come "out of season" you can say no. This was what Paul demonstrated. Hezekiah also did same. Death cannot be postponed indefinitely at least not in this world.
