Good morning nairalanders, pls I want to change my toyota highlander (2001 model) transmission oil. Pls what's is d recommended oil coz it has nt been changed since I bought d car last year . Here is d pix of wat I saw on d dipstick. Can I get it frm Oando or toyota

Use Dexron III

It clearly says type t iv, so use type iv. Its available in the market.

Despite seeing the dip stick of the ride you still wemt ahead to recommend dextron 3

Basically if you want to go the Toyota T-IV route, then Mobil 3309 is an equivalent not Dexron III. In the instant case, your vehicle specifies Type IV, so please if you don't wish to replace your transmission in other 5000 to 6000 miles then by all means stick to Type IV. But if your vehicle specified Dexron III not Toyota T-IV, then going Dexron VI seems the most appropriate choice given all the issues discussed above.

Not expensive compared to Honda dw1 atf that costs 2,500 per quart and u need about 5 quarts.

Its ok, the difference ain't much from what I get it for here in lag.
