Why do religions treat incest as a sin?

If Adam and Eve populated all of humanity, what makes incest a sin?

Also, we have to consider that after some generations. God wiped out the whole of the world leaving only Noah and his family, so another round of incest occured to repopulate the world.

If all these happened, why is incest considered a sin ?

It's a logical question and this is more like a discuss and no need for hyperventilation or tantrums throwing or name calling. If you have nothing to contribute . Please walk away.

Those Bible stories are just that.......STORIES. I do not believe in that Adam and Eve talk.

We are plenty enough now. So there is no need to do that anymore

lmao if we all came from adam and even that means we are all still related... so its still inbreeding till today..

It is a mystery, the story of life and existence remain a mystery!

But one can intuitively understand the right things or ways of life at the presence...
I don't think it is NATURALY wrong as long as it's not between a parent and the child (no biblical story suggest that afterall), but i think people created some etiquettes in order to separate themselves from animals when they multiplied in great numbers and found the idea possible and sensible to adopt.

What i can only suggest here is that it very good to follow SUCH etiquette of the people you are among. But it is very wrong to condemn someone found in the act of incest or inbreeding, for his or her freedom in life is then being stolen.

Am sure God created more people that where not recorded, adam n eve were not the only people at their time. After all cain, after killing abel and was cast out of d garden went to a far land to go n get married. Who him marry?

This is a very good point friend!
But the confusing part of the bible story is how humans again multiply after the great flood that left only noah and his families alive in the whole earth!!!! What could happen there?

Adam n eve where d first but not the only people God created at that time. (my view though) similar cenario might have happen in noah's senario too.

I guess you are referring to Genesis (Genesis 4:14).
Where he was scared he would be killed by the others.
Who's going to kill him? So far, the only people in the
world as at then were Adam, Eve, Cain, Abel and maybe
their sisters whom the Books, for whatever reason, doesn't

This is a mulit religious discourse .People from different beliefs should contribute. I know Muslims permits the marriage to 2nd Cousins or so and same with some other middle eastern religions

One question, how many children did the bible say adam n eve had?

But with all this assumptions and imaginations we create ourselves, can't we conclude that the bible is inconsistent if not distorted?
Then the question of, whether inbreeding is a sin or not could never be verified by the stories in the bible.

But its d bible that pointed inbreeding as sin. Our traditional belifs n culture also see itas a taboo.
