The first thing that attracts you to Nigeria's celebrated singer and internationally acclaimed photographer TY Bello is her awesome afro hairstyle that is the crown of her natural beauty.

With the majority of black women in the world so addicted to different kinds of artificial hair attachments and extensions made in Brazil, China and India, TY Bello has been able to grow and maintain her healthy luxuriant long natural hair since her younger days.
I have not seen any other Nigerian female celebrity with such an awesome long hair.
Her beautiful natural hair made her to stand out as one of the troika, including Lara George and Emem Ema making up "Kush", the abbreviation of Kinetically Ushering Salvation into Hearts and Homes, the popular contemporary gospel and soul band that rocked Nigeria in the first decade of the 21st century before the group broke up with Lara George and TY Bello launching successful solo singing careers.

The problem is most of us do not know how to treat our natural hair and also I have to admit that our natural hair is more difficult to maintain. The average Nigerian girl could have this length in 2 years but most will not stick with it and when you start out there are not that many cute styles to do so ...............

I doubt it. It also depends on the hair texture, and how you look after ya hair.

I used to have cornrows (before I gut the darn thing off), from age 16-20, and my hair back then looked somewhat like that (I still have the pic on my passport) - and I'm a guy. grin And also, I knew loads of guys back then when cornrows was in vogue - who had similar hair. Just look after ya hair, and eat a lot of protein.
