An unidentified man was Friday lynched in Kano on suspicion he belonged to the deadly sect, Boko Haram.
The man was stoned to death by hundreds who gathered near Kano Central Mosque shortly before the commencement of Friday prayers.

The attackers said the man arrived at the area with an explosive material and a gun.
Spotted, a group of youth chased him from Karkasara to the Central Mosque where he was rounded up and stoned to death.

The Kano Police spokesperson, Musa Majiya, confirmed the incident.
He however said security operatives arrived at the scene promptly but could not trace any of the alleged weapons the man was accused of carrying.

Mr. Magaji, an Assistance Superintendent of Police, said because the unproved allegation, police had commenced investigation into what actually happened.
He warned the public against taking laws into their hands whenever they suspected anything untoward, saying it could lead to attacks on innocent people.
The attack came more than two months after Boko Haram launched a devastating bomb and gun attacks on the central mosque killing more than 100 people.

well from the report it seems the victim is a victim of circumstances.... or a pre meditated plan by the Muslims to kill anyone who isn't a Muslim that comes close to their mosque especially during worship owing to the brutal experience they had in the kano mosque few months ago.... well looking at bit from two perspectives my subversion is

* No matter the circumstance jungle justice is wrong. Everyone deserves fair hearing

* The youths played by the rules "A stitch in time saves nine" I.e stopping the supposed terrorist before he commits collateral damage

Since the government in charge has refused to get sophicated weapons for the our darling military officials that are willing to fight boko haram, let the youths do it the archaic way. Some people just cannot stand back and watch things fall apart. This is a big shame to the ruling government. And a big disgrace to our Nigerian army.
