Two persons were, yesterday, trampled to death in a stampede during the All Progressives Party, APC, presidential campaign visit to Plateau State.

The victims, Sunday Vanguard confirmed, were trying to force their way out of the crowded Rwang Pam Township Stadium, venue of the event, when they were trampled on and they gave up the ghost.

Before the tragedy, the APC presidential candidate, General Mohammadu Buhari, had addressed the mammoth crowd, promising to restore security in the north eastern zone of the country as well as improve on the agriculture and education sectors.

He assured the unemployed youths of massive employment opportunities if voted into power in next month’s election.

When pictures of the GEJ crowd in Owerri were posted here, APC e-rats labeled them "scanty" and "nothing close to what Buhari pulled in Lafia and Jos" because none of the Owerri people were scaling masts and sitting on rooftops to see GEJ.
No, people. Owerri people are just too civilized to engage in such thuggish behaviour. When they want to support a person, they support quietly and keep moving. They are educated like that. And come February 14th, they shall give the 'real' support by casting 99 percent of their votes to GEJ, leaving the APC clowns wondering yet again where they went wrong.
