Wow! You're too much, stealthideals. This is brilliant, absolutely fantastic. C'mon, writing is your niche. It's a pleasure meeting another brilliant writer from Nairaland. I've met some other great talents like OMA4U and Mollusco; these guys are wonderful writers too. You may check them out.

However, judging by what I've read so far, you need to work on your tenses; there are some other almost inconspicuous errors, but nothing a good editor will not fix. Above all, this work I'm reading shows a classical promise.

Nice story...Scratch that- brilliant story!

In addition to what LarrySun opined, I think you should work on your imagery- paint pictures with words. I call it lexical realism. Be a wordsmith - manipulate words that strike a cord or two with the readership.
I especially like to employ pun. You know, make the reader pause to mule over a phrase till he experiences his 'eureka' moment.

Thumbs MR. STEALTH, stick to your literary IDEALS. Pun intended.
