Please who have an idea about zillow.com.

I met one dude yesterday for an apt to rent. The dude looks like an addict. I didn't like his looks at all.

Zillow is majorly for people buying houses. Craigslist might be a better option if looking for a roommate/apartment; apartmentratings.com or rent.com if you just want an apartment..they give you $100 back after signing the lease.

On the contrary, I wasn't thinking you aimed your 'shot' at me However, patting somebody who rushed to take sides with your post doesn't sound like being objective, does it?
I'm just a spectator looking at how things unfold with nothing against nobody. I'm not i'm any way involved in what's going on, I aired an honest opinion and someone agreed, I don't know if you agree with my initial post but I would have replied you the same way. I didn't "pat" nobody bro.

I have said this so many times on here. I will repeat it again. Do not come to America with the hope that things would sort itself out. At the minimum, have your tuition for 2 semesters (unless you have a scholarship) and not just come here hoping that one family member will house you or cater for you. That won't happen.

In agreement with BigFrancis, I have noticed that those who have relatives in the U.S are the ones always complaining. Why? Because they are expecting too much from their uncles or aunts and get disappointed when that doesn't happen. Many of us here came to America without knowing anybody. I slept in the hotel for several days when I newly came before I got an apartment of my own. I knew what I was coming to do in America and was well prepared and wasn't expecting help from anybody. As bitter as this might sound, having enough money is the way. You don't need anyone.

Also, some people come here and study some courses that are not in high demand. I am always an advocate of STEM, any day, any time. I got a job because I was a STEM major. Just yesterday, Kpolli announced here that he got a job too in the West Coast - most likely in the Silicon Valley or the Bay Area, because that is where things happen in the IT world. Although, there are some people who finished school and still haven't gotten their dream jobs, but they are still managing some where, any how because they went to school. Some even went further to pursue a PhD. A good Nigerian-American girl would even be ready to marry you if she knows you have an advanced degree. That would make your searching easier as well.

Overall, bring enough money when coming here and complete your studies. If you have no money, then be prepared for the worst and don't blame any uncle or aunty for that. Everyone is on their own in America.

Thumps up bro ,you did really clearified something here.

STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Basically, a MS or Ph.D in any of these fields makes you eligible by law to be hired by a company on graduation. Courses outside STEM are not permitted by law.
Thanks bro, so how will guys with social science, law, arts, medical, nursing, pharmacy background fare after grad.

Medical science, nursing and pharmacy fall under Science category and are in high demand here. They qualify by law.

The rest don't qualify.
