BraniacX:There are no more beasts of burden in Daura, they have all been transported for feasts and all eaten by you know who. You have to go to Niger now to get donkeys, except the metaphorical ones we currently have as Nigerian leaders. |

49cents:My brother, thats the annoying part! so if GEJ looses the election, he's a failure? After ruling for 6 years? I know we all expect so much from him and he did almost nothing, i just dont think it warrants all such insults; the choice of words on Nairaland (from both the APC and PDP supporters) is usually demeaning, especially that its coming from the teenagers that never do well! No disrespect, a Berem can not even touch the helm of the garmets of GEJ or Reno in the real world, but here she is insulting without a cause |

If we Nigerians want change, then we should tell ourselves the truth. And that is, 'you do not expect a different result by doing the same thing over and over again. Non of these persons standing on the front line have an agenda for this our dear country. The CHANGE should start from you and I. Some quarters would begin to say a party would rig and all that. Well I say that if Nigerians want a CHANGE then come February 14 we all unanimously agree to remain at Home and not cast any vote until credible candidates who have an idea of which way to go as Nation step forward, THAT would begin the process of change... |

What a lot of people don't understand about politics in Nigeria is that, It's all about the system. lmagine having a "good" person, in this nigeria politics that is full of propaganda, u can't turn out to be good in the eyes of the nation or the people generally. You will notice that a lot of things said about buhari and GEJ are nt entirely true, and this is done by both parties. I think what we still do in Nigeria and we will continue to do in Nigeria's politics is selectn leaders on how good they are in RELATIVE to each other and not really how well they or their party can perform. This is the argument of most people supporting buhari, cos they feel he will be better in relative to Jonathan. Or it could be the case of finding ourself as a nation in the shoes of some1 that is drowning who will hold on to just anything to survive while going down. The best tin for you if you want to contest in future in nigeria politics is to make your tracks as clean as possible (certificates, university politics, your family e.t.c), even if u're nt entirely a good person, so dat u can appear RELATIVELY better than your opponents either in PDP (Poverty development party or People decieving people) or in APC (Aggrieved People's party) that is if the two parties still exist. The fact still remains that Nigerians are weighing their options. To be candid buhari does nt look like and will never look like a good man in the eyes of many nigerians even some of those that are campaigning for him (maybe because of what Nigerians have experienced in the hands of military dictators even if he was not one.Especially those from the north). However after weighing their options, a lot of Nigerian NOW, thinks that he is better RELATIVELY than Jonathan. Remember It's still the same buhari that contested against Jonathan in 2011, and I can tell you a lot of people shouting "APC 4 CHANGE" now were shouting and supporting Jonathan THEN. So if I may ask you, what has changed in Buhari since 2011 till Now? NOTHING. The only thing that changed was in Jonathan, and I can tell you that the change is negative. Buhari that probably went back to kastina after the election loss then only to resurface after some years to contest again. The fact still remains that nothing changed in buhari between 2011 till now (though he was the villain then, and gej was a sort of hero then) The only change that took place is in jonathan, and it was a negative one (the hero then becoming the villain, and vice versa). |
