kendrick9:peanut and groundnut are the same thing. Americans call groundnut peanut and the Brits call peanuts groundnuts. Same crop, different names Same way Americans call biscuits cookies instead of biscuits....as a British colony, Nigerians are to refer to peanuts as groundnuts. |

As a matter of fact, you won't see groundnut in most UK stores(except Nigerian /few Asian stores) , what you'll see is salted peanut (too much salt coated with the groundnut sef). So if we're to go with your claim, the guy isn't wrong. As for me, I will choose the Nigerian groundnut over any other pea/ground nut |
