he audio of Vice President Namadi Sambo’s inability to
properly recite an Islamic elementary prayer is presently
being circulated in northern parts ofNigeria.
The Vice President is said to have wrongly recited Fatiha
prayers during Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential
campaign in Zamfara and Katsina states.
But he was said to have improved in reciting the prayers the
ancient city of Kano when the campaign train got there.

A source in Kano, Malam Ibrahim Mohammed, who closely
followed the campaigns and submitted audio to
SaharaReporters said Sambo’s failure properly to recite
Fatiha, which is elementary prayer surprised Muslims
following the campaigns.
Mohammed added that Sambo also boasted that he is from
Medina since his name is Namadi and performs Islamic rites
and annually goes to Hajj for pilgrimages.
He said “The audio is presently being circulated for people to
listen to characters and jesters pretending to be Muslims but
cannot recite Fatiha prayers. It is unfortunate that he
embarrassed himself after boasting of being knowledgeable
Muslim.
“If you don’t know religion properly how can you lead with
fear of Allah and fear him. And he keeps boasting, for the fact
that he cannot say this prayer, it shows, he is not a Muslim
and there is need for him to seek further Islamic knowledge.
“It is a shame and it calls for reflection because it surprised
many of us.”
Last week the VP questioned APC Presidential candidate,
Muhammadu Buhari's faith telling Muslims at a campaign rally
that the Buhari chose a Pentecostal pastor with 5,000
churches.

Is there anybody who is perfect in this life? Even the APC reps that will come after me now to castigate the vp who think they have a soft copy of the complete quran in their heads are not far from being illitrate.

As a non-muslim, you could say whats the big deal, but it is a big deal for two reasons. First, from the religious aspect and second, it was Namadi Sambo's aim at the campaign rally to prove to muslims in Kano that he is well groomed in the Islamic faith than Buhari.

Namadi Sambo in his campaign has been saying he is more of a muslim than GMB because, GMB has a pastor as his running mate. And that his full name is not "Namadi", but "Namadina" which means the man from Madina (the city of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)). Sambo learnt that during the closing prayers of GMB's campaign rally in Kano, Gov Kwankwasso recited Suratul Fatiha. So, Namadi wanted to do thesame, but to the shock of muslims, Namadi Sambo could not recite it properly more than a 6 years old kid would.

Suratul fatiha is the opening surah of the Holy Quran which every muslim recites during in each of the 5 daily prayers. Hence, it is the first Quran recitation taught to kids. Its so easy that kids can recite it like ABC. But the so-called "man from Madina" could not even recite it ....very funny and disgraceful.

So,the question many muslims are asking is; how can a staunch Muslim from the northern groomed in the Islamic faith not know how to recite fatiha correctly. or is this the result of too much corruption

Yeah nobody is perfect..
But nobody force or mandated him to recite it.

You see life, VP Sambo wanted to hit Buhari and his vice but ended up finishing himself up. This might not really be an issue down south but same can not be said up north. PDP, mind your business and do issue based campaign, una no gree, una don see am.
