Bostin:
Hello guys, I will like to make contacts of Nairalanders in Canada here. I recently applied for tourism visa to Canada but still waiting for TRV to come out, l need someone that can help with cheap accommodation and any menial job for just 3months stay in Canada.

Who will employ you on a visitors visa in Canada?
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by tee12345(m): 3:09am On Jan 26, 2015
There are rules my friend and we are obligated to observe them. Visitors' visas are for Visitors - people who don't have taking up employment in Canada as their primary objective.

You may apply as an artist for artist visa or seek asylum. You should do both outland and not when you get there.

Don't let the need for survival compound your issues. Follow the rules like millions of people around the world are doing. Yours isn't the worst or only case.

I can't give you advice because it'd require breaking the law and I don't know if this board encourages such. How old are you ?

Absolutely not.

terrimatix:
You returned to Nigeria because you are lucky to have something doing there, not like am encouraging people not to go back to Nigeria after their visit but there are so many ways to regularize visitors visa in Canada legally.
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by lalavita: 5:30pm On Jan 26, 2015
This is a good compilation for a visitors visa. Though not compulsory, I would suggest the following

- 6 month personal bank statements (I know you mentioned bank statements but you did not give details)
- 6 month corporate bank statements. Hope your corp account is buoyant...
- reference letter from bank addressed to the Canada Deputy High Commission
- photocopies of previous visas. This highlights travel history
- for your letter of intro, ensure it is clear and concise. Highlight your ties to Nigeria! And clarify the purpose of your trip.
- Re-review all your forms to ensure completeness and correctness

Good luck with your app. Hopefully your visa is approved. Make sure you come back and do not breach the terms of your visa.

Once you're on Canadian soil go to immigration and claim refugee that you can't go back due to X. Right now there's a 2 year backlog in the system. It can buy you a two year grace.

You'll be given temporary residence for a few weeks along with a work visa. After the few weeks they'll kick you out and tell you to go find your own place. By then you should be working and supporting yourself until your case is heard. The average wait time for a refugee claim to be heard and judge making a decision is 2 years. Mind you the only jobs you'll get are minimal jobs. Fast food restaurants, factory, etc in the meantime.

I just got a refusal on my application today for just one reason of "purpose of visit" , truly I did not show any contact person invitation nor conference registrations in Canada, all I did was an hotel reservation and letter of explanation to show sites and places am visiting as a tourist. Please advice me if there is any amendment I can make to confuse them?

@Bostin any travelling history on your passport, sorry for your refusal though, at least you know where to work on now. i am sure the house would contribute more on where you lapsed now. but u need an Invitation from someone or conference just like you said.. I think the hotel reservation more works for US Visa. Goodluck

You guys should not turn visa applications to something extraordinary.

Hotel reservation and simple explanation of what you intend to do in the country would suffice for most countries with other general requirements.

How many folks abroad will send you letter of invitation that is not orginated from oluwole?

I have. Unless he's rich (Canadian standard) or has someone in canada helping him get a visitors visa, he won't be getting in.

My uncle put down 30k Canadian cash for my cousins international fees each year with boarding. He's been getting a visa ever since. So I can't answer your question but that amount gives you an idea.

He is not applying for student visa and he doesn't need that much in his account to be able to get visiting visa.
