Activists Sue Buhari Over Perjury

Four activists have filed a fresh criminal suit against the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari before an Abuja Magistrates’ Court over alleged false information.

The activists are Shield Jones Ufot, Jimmy David, Ogueri Enwerem and Tochukwu Okorie.

The activists filed a direct criminal complaint through their lawyer, Ugochukwu Ezekiel at the court.

The complainants named Buhari as the only defendant in the suit.

They alleged that Buhari gave a false evidence to a public officer contrary to Section 157 of the Penal Code and punishable under Section 158 of the Penal Code Law.

The complainants further claimed that they are Nigerian citizens, activists and social crusaders committed to ensuring obedience to the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with a duty to report crime and ensure prosecution of offenders.

They also claimed that they are tax payers and voters in Nigeria qualified to vote and be voted for in Nigeria.

In the particulars of the alleged offence against Buhari, the complainants submitted that Buhari on December 18, 2014, filled and submitted INEC Form C.F 001 to the Independent National Electoral Commission (a public office) wherein t Buhari gave his qualification to contest the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as West African School Certificate (WASC), which he claimed to have obtained in 1961.

They however, claimed that Buhari never sat for the West African Examination Council examination in 1961 as he claimed and that in the entire records of the school and WAEC, there appeared no name of the said Mohammadu Buhari.

They further submitted that Buhari with intent to mislead a public officer as to comply with the provisions of Section 31 of the Electoral Act, 2010, deposed to various affidavits in the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja wherein he stated that he attended Katsina Provincial Secondary School, Katsina State and obtained a West African School Certificate and the certificates he claimed to have obtained are with the Nigerian Army.

It seems Buhari suffers from bad luck. This is his best chance to become president, yet he has created more obstacles on his path to attaining that goal. This perjury case may be his waterloo.

There's no WAEC records for Buhari, the courts would soon retire the geriatric even before GEJ gets the chance.

Buhari has already lost the 2015 elections even if he win. grin

Ask me how

Now, it is clear to all and sundry that this man has committed perjury, meaning he took an oath for something that does not exist. He said his certificate is with the military but its no there, that's a lie and this offense can fetch one 14 years in prison so even if INEC allows buhari to contest and Win, it will all end in court and GEJ takes over.

This confirms pastor suleman's prophecy.

Too bad...Buhari has been out of politics for so long that he has lost touch with the reality.

APC people didn't help matters because they know PDP is desperate to hold on to power and will do anything possible. They would have played their cards much more carefully.

The dilemma facing APC now is between allowing a Man who committed Perjury to be elected president and lose credibility in the eyes of Nigerians and the Law or do the honourable thing by resigning to allow a corrupt government to continue.

What I know is that the battle is far from over.
