I bought a 5000 kgs/day cube ice machine from a company named as CBFI icesource refrigeration

equipment Co., Ltd from China several months ago. They promised a high quality machine with stable

performance. However, from the moment I got the machine installed, it keeps occuring problems, some

times big, some times minor. I had to keep sending problem-shooting mails constantly. What the ****, they

promised a good aftersales service, but when I sent mails to ask for solutions, they keeps finding excuses

rather than give me solutions. They told me to look up the operation manual, but what operation manual is

this? It's very simple, but stuffed with rubbish info, no use at all. And later they no longer responding to my

mails anymore. I called them several times, but they excused for bad networking, could not hear my voice.

I'm totally disappointed in this company, and had to find local engineers to help. It costs a lot to hire some

experts to help and buy replacement parts.

****, what the company is this? I wish I was the last one that frauded by this charlantan company.

naijacutee: Nuclearboy has the sort of responses we need. People who know what they are talking about, and not just "contact me for more information" posts. I found a Nigerian company that sells them, and which boldly displays their full pricelist and product range on their website. However, I am not sure as to whether these are US/UK/German manufactured machines or locally made ones. Here is a list of their prices : http://dekoolar-ac.com/pricelist.html

I think we also need someone to tell us specific differences between locally made sets and imported sets. For all we know, the locally made ones might be more acclimatised to our requirements in Nigeria, and thus might perform better than imported ones. Does anyone know?

when you plan to buy a local machine, please see four things:
1. what type of material they use to make ice moulds? top quality one should be stainless steel grade 304
2. what material to make salt water tank ? top quality one should be stainless steel grade 304
3. what type of compressor they use? is it world famous brand ? like Germany bitzer, US Copeland etc
4. cooling parts they use. Danfoss parts are famous.

Sorry but you can't get help that will help you from people who don't know what the conditions of power are like here!

Its not just our ambient heat but repeated start-ups and shut downs, low current, high current and the desire for ice that's more like concrete than solid water!

Look for soneone who understands electricity - that's where your real issue is from what you have stated above
