tonychristopher:I see what you've been saying bro. I try very much to take every Nigerian as a brother and sister. When I was in ABU, my best friends were Ibira, Nupe, Gwari and Yoruba by tribes. Not like there weren't Igbos in the school. There were Igbos in the school I attended and whenever I meet them, I relate well with them, but that didn't stop me from having people from other tribes close to me too. This is why I don't go about bashing other tribes and even when my people do that, I advise them to stop because its not healthy. I always take away sentiments in whatever I do, that is why I'm not a GEJ supported and I for one, will never support GMB because of the lapses in his past administration which portrayed a tribalistic person and an extremist. They both have their flaws in their campaign as Prof Soludo made clear to us. Their agendas are nothing but empty promises. For GEJ, How will someone claim to create millions of jobs when he wasn't even able to create 500k jobs in over four years of rule? How will a man who failed to end terrorism in over four years of rule now end it in just four years? How will a man who uphold corruption rule a country effectively? How will a president eventually find someone that would have ended our electricity troubles and have him resign because he was stepping on political toes? He, the former power and steel minister at least was truthful enough to make it clear that he wanted to acquire power stations but GEJ's pals have being obtaining government properties at will and without being castigated. Other ministers in the likes of Former Aviation who should have been tried, Minister of interior, who should have resigned, etc. were left to continue or given better political posts. And so much more... For GMB, how will a man claim to provide free education and feed primary school students free of charge, when he stopped feeding of students during his rule and also stopped free education? How will he claim he will give 5k to 25million poor people monthly? Except his intention is to take the money to the north since there are more beggars and almajiris in that region. A man who never jailed a Hausa/Fulani Muslim claims not to be an extremist. It was disheartening to see that the same people he jailed massively during his rule even as he worked with their tribal person as a second in command, are now blindly following this same man. For Buhari to convince us he's a changed man, he should openly admit he wrong footed in certain period during his rule and as a human he is, we will all forgive him and give him our maximum support, but he claims he did no wrong. He either abandoned or killed critical projects (Ajaokuta and Metro line) in Nigeria and truncated a Democratically elected government. That was pure retrogression. And so much more These are simply the reasons I can't vote for these two candidates. I wonder why an unreasonable and brainless man will come out to criticize a tribe supporting a candidate and calls them e-thugs, when we also have e-thugs in his tribe too. This country has a long way to go and we will never get their till we all work on our lapses, rather than hypocritically criticizing other tribes. |

LordMecuzy:Yes many Ijaws fought along side the Igbos but they are hardly acknowledged like the ones who had opposing view while the Igbos who opposed and worked against Biafra are not magnified like some none Igbos with opposing views. For example the Ijaw poet Gabriel Okara fought for Biafra. His older brother died fighting for Biafra like many others but these are hardly mentioned unless some really unbiased south easterners. Also, you will hardly hear about Igbos that opposed and even worked against Biafra like Zik, Asika Ukpabi, Ike Nwachukwu and many others. Infact Ndidi Okereke-Onyiuke was a spy for the Nigerian soldiers. I have said befor that any Igbo that seem very close to Obasanjo and those nothern oligarchs dhould be invrstigated properly to know the role they or their family members played during the war and curiously it is those who played ignoble role during the war and their family members that are always at the forefront to point out who betrayed the Igbos among the minorities. |

are you the author of the article? there are certain points I'd like to bring to your attention... but first respond to this question (while I go back to find the area(s) I'd like to discuss): Here on NL, is it Igbo posters that launch attacks on others, albeit un provoked? be honest to yourself. GEJ supporters, especially the Igbos, don't behave like the terrorists supporting APC and the violent way they come after anyone supporting GEJ. kayjasper: |
