Atleast Buhari won't look timid like Jonathan that couldn't have an eye contact with Amanpour.

As at 1979 almost every household had access to a transistor radio. Go do your research.

If Great Zik of Africa, Alhaji Shehu Shagari and Baba Awolowo boycotted the 1979 debate, I don't believe APC should follow the old path since they are clamouring for change. Now that Muritala Foundation has offered them another neutral opportunity, I trust APC will go for it. We are not concerned about aspirant fluency in speaking but how good their programs presentation to the whole country would be laid.

That zik, awo, aminu boycotted that is old stone age story,,,el rufai in 2010 wrote a letter. "That Buhari remains perpetually unelectable "" and " that buhari insensitivity to Nigerians diversity and his Parochial focus are already well - known•”
SO it's not new that he is running from debate,,,those who boycotted then failed.
GMB is a failure a failure a failure he will never rule...youths are we stupid?
Why do we use bcus of MONEY to follow FIRE{GMB}.

Why should a foreign journalist moderate a Nigerian debate? The last time I checked, neither Adesewa Josh or Maupe Ogun moderated the last US presidential debate.

No it's not! Despite being pro-Jonathan, i admit that. But, since 1979, our Democracy has grown significantly! Any talk of a military coup could easily be written off as impossible! Can you say thesame about 1979?

..Thank God you said "our democracy"...cos what we have in Nigeria is skewed and a pseudo. No ideologies. .is purely ethnic and religion driven

we follow a particular candidate irrespective of his glaring failure just because he is from our niche. We are still in the same circle. .doing a Mary Go round..the outcome of this election will determine if we break off that circle...or not

In case you can no longer find your History
books, Obafemi Awolowo, the Great Zik, Aminu
Kano et al boycotted the 1979 presidential
debate organised by the NTA.
On what premise did they boycott the debate?
The same reasons as given by GMB/APC.
Without any bias, the late Owelle of Onitsha, was
the best orator among his political peers in those
days.
Would he have chickened out when he knew he
was going to have a field day debating out his
opponents?
Ditto to Awo! Everybody knew Awo was deep and
highly cerebral, visionary and scholastic to the
core. As a lawyer, his communication strength
was excellent.
So, why did he decline to debate with Shehu
Shagari, a man known for his sublime taciturnity?
As it was then, so it is now.
We have fundamental challenges with our social
institutions.
And this is not limited to the federal government
alone.
The states are also involved..
I've come to realise that social institutions get
compromised by a particular leader in power until
he's no longer there.
This is wrong and must be condemned by every
rational being.
Beyond condemnation, we must strive hard to
restructure the country in a way that our
institutions will stand out at any point in time
regardless of who the president or governor is.

Culled from Dayo Williams on Facebook
bro u made point...but let see if he will accept this one coming frm murtala mohammed foundation.

You're right. Next time, the composition of the NEDG has to be reviewed. Govt appointees and open partisans shouldn't be part of the debate panel.
