Mayb there's a mistake with the imei...
Did u just randomly input and imei or you analyzed before doin so..?

Try rechecking the imei or try a different one entirely..

well I do mine all the time with my phone.. Wait for some minutes, switch data on..
Let it feel itself for sometime, then I reboot.
The "H+" sign will keep fluctuating. I don't usually touch my phone until I start to see notifs and pings popping up.

Why then do I need to use a bb fone for this.. When I get a message from glo saying "welcome, your phone is a bold 5" whenever I insert a Glo sim in my M2??

custom ROMs are always flashed thru either recovery mode or sp flashtool , while stock ROMs are only flashed thru sp flashtool.
