So, GTBank created an avenue for all customers to use their mobile numbers used to register their accounts to load airtime via the *737*amount#. It was strictly for registered mobile numbers .

It was not really cool then as you dont need any code to get the airtime, but we didbt complain.
But recently, I learnt you can now send airtime to other mobile numbers like *737*phone no*amount#.

Isn't this risky and dangerous regarding the facts that
1). You don't need your ATM card code to get the airtime.
2). What if you leave your phone with a friend, before you get back, he empties your account sending airtime to his own number

OK, it shouldn't be stopped, they should just include a security measure, ATM pin is fine.

It is a very risky thing not to have your phone locked with codes at ALL times. If a third party uses your bank account to make purchases and transfers, you are on your OWN.

GTBank will ask you for ur pin before dey conclude the transaction... Always try and confirm informations before you start spreading dem!!

Please do ur research before u mislead people. I for once felt like dat not until i recharged a friend. Gtb requires u to put d last 4digits of ur card to verify. So it is all up to u to keep ur card safe.

Okay Thanks. Haven't really tried it out tho.
The best thing to be used is still your MasterCard Pin.

In the case of recharging another number, you need to verify using the last 4 digits of your atm card. But recharging self don't have any security measure.
