Nigerian policemen are evil lawless extortioners. They should be living on trees.

And some humans are living in this kind of apartment.........

This decay must have being caused due to neglect and no maintenance culture that abound in this our society because buildings like this are supposed to be maintained and structurally checked periodically
I hope you maintain your own personal building by repainting and refurbishing regularly as our government is simply a reflection of our aggregate values.

So na Fashola dey do FG work now ?

Failed FG
I was sure I would find someone like you.

This was in November 2013 oh!

Kazrem:
I don't know a better place to put this but I have to ask myself, is this a hospital owned managed and financed by the state government?

Let me narrate my story to better explain the situation.
I brought my 75 years old mum for diabetes and hypertension treatment on Wednesday. Afte1 the normal formalties of regisration and payment of ward fee, she was admitted around 6:30pm (we actually arrived 2:30pm).

When she was placed on bed, the first thing I noticed was the mosquito net. I tell you, this net must have been there over 6 months unwashed! This didn't bother me much as I hoped there will be light and as a result fan will work which will prevent mosquito. But after about 20 minutes, I started feeling heat (me that is healthy oo).

I kept mute because I don't want to be observed. After about 10 additional minutes, (this was around 7pm) my mum said she was feeling heat as well. Won't there be light was the taught that came to my mind and soonest light came. Thank God. But guess what? This was PHCN light, it was Inverter so we can't use fan, only to see ourselves with the light.

By this time, mosquito has been doing their work seriously. "Is this how we will be till morning", I thought. After few minutes, i heard the sound of generator and additional light came up. I was happy and joyous. I went to fan regulator, but was shocked to see that the fan wasn't working! I tried it again and again, turned it 360 degree yet, it didn't work! Oh my God! What's this! I went to other regulators, I swear by God, in the whole ward, only 2 fans was working and infact it was just one, a visitor made extra effort to make the 2nd work.

Is Epe General Hospital not part of Lagos State owned hospital? The story didn't end there, not long after that the generator was switched off! The situation can't be explained. I felt pity not for myself but for my mum and other patients in Ward 2. How will a patient be in heat? How will they sleep with these mosquitoes? How will they use this net that is smelly? How this how more was running in my mind. Then I asked myself "is this a general hospital owned, managed and financed By Lagos State? May God help us.

Honestly speaking, in terms of treatment, they are very good. I can changes not only in my mum but also in other patients. But what about facilities?

Which is also as important as treatment. I can't use the toilet. Though its clean and okay but as for, i can't use it. This is what I have been seeing here at Epe General Hospital in the last 3 days.

I hope this will be on front page maybe it will be read by necessary dignitries.

I thought since 2000 Ogbeni Ojuyobo blew billions on ENRON power plant, why has Fashola not taken that forward to have 24 hours in Lagos state instead of celebrating super-sized diesel generators as IPP huh

I am sure you did not notice the lack of TAP water in the eye witness report abi you see am huh

Despite annual budget of some N20 billion to LSWC the Thief'nuibu cabal for 16 years cannot provide ordinary tap water to Lagosians.
What a pity!

This barrack was there even before IBB'Buhari'abacha'abdulsalam abubakar'obasanjo'tenure'they all ignored the barracks, now it's Jonathan's administration;am not even sure he knows any of the barracks in lagos. Even the police barracks at falomo ikoyi are nothing to write home about.

I think there is need for you to reason very well before blaming a political party, it is the duty of the state govt in power to take care of issues like that. You can't expect a building to remain new. There is need for maintenance and renovation

Even when GEJ releases d money the level of corruption in the police force won't allow the money to be properly implemented.

The police officers are themselves their own problems.

Now I know why my mother cried when I told her I wanted to join the police force. Thank God I neva did

In case you have forgotten let me remind you again, Jonathan fixed Ikeja Police college after Channels TV report and even visited the place.

Are you telling us now that GEJ is responsible for the poor condition of barracks in every state. Have you forgotten that each state govt are given the power to take care of her internal affairs while residual and international are left with the FG.

Stop grasping at straws mr crayon , nothing in the pix suggests water does not flow, even the reporter alluded to the fact that the toilet was clean. LASG has removed at least 2 General hospitals on dependency on national grid for power and now connected to the IPP.

From the opening post, Fashola went to commission a project in the police barracks premises, what does that suggest to your skewed mind? The lagos governor also offered to rebuild the dilapidated police building, as soon as the current occupants vacate the building.

Nonsense. Are they trying to tell us, since these buildings were built, was there no allocation for its maintenance, expansion as the case may be. NPF is a very corruption entity, one commissioner or an AIG must have sat on the monies meant for the maintenance of these structures.

guy blame the police service commission for the poor maintenance culture in barracks. Have you been to airforce barracks before? They are mostly neat. Again, you don't recruit more than you can cater for; that's why police and army barracks are usually a sorry site.

These guys have barren land scattered all over and instead of building more facilities, they pile up pressure on the existing ones.

It is not the duty of the President or state governor to be monitoring these facilities. They are people saddled with such responsibilities within the forces themselves.
