Job Title: Hotel Manager, Location: Abeokuta

Job description:

The manager is expected to deliver friendly, efficient customer service and to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests. To supervise, train and motivate others, with the key aim of retaining and attracting new customers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver excellent customer service, at all times, ensuring guests’ comfort and safety.

• Deal with all enquires in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone or via e-mail.

• Deal with customer complaints and comments in a professional manner.

• Keep up to date with current promotions and hotel pricing, to provide information to guests, on request, while maximizing bedroom sales opportunities.

• Manage and maintain the administration of all reservations, cancellations in line with company policy.

• Propose and implement effective marketing strategies to maximize room occupancy levels.

• Complete all daily administration tasks as required.

• Ensure that all bedrooms/conference rooms and areas under his/her responsibility are checked thoroughly at the end of every shift, confirming that they meet our standards.

• Manage and maintain effective and efficient use of all reception equipment and hotel systems, in line with company policy.

• Control and manage all new credit application accounts, sales ledger management and payment administration.

• Provide reports, as required, to the management.
• Ensuring that the security of the premises is effective.
• Complete all required health and safety/fire checks on time.

• Be responsible for evacuation, in cases of emergency, acting as first point of contact for the team, guests and the emergency services.

• Always adhere to all company policies and procedures and licensing laws.
• Carry out other instructions as given by the management team.

Requirements:
• A degree in hotel and hospitality management, business or management sciences.
• 4 to 6 years work experience in hotel management or a similar hospitality position.

• A friendly personality and genuine desire to help and please others;
• Ability to think clearly and make quick decisions;
• Numeracy and logistical planning skills;
• A professional manner and calm, rational approach in hectic situations;
• Ability to balance customer and business priorities;
• Energy and patience;
. Ability to speak the local language (Yoruba) fluently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when dealing with speakers of other languages.

i have somebody who read hotel and tourism management with about 13yrs experience,and works with one of the 5star hotels here in lagos.he is to renew his contract by 15th of feb.2015. but wants to know when u may possibly want the new head to resume in your organisation,so dat he may apply.
