Your life indeed must be very miserable

People of decent conduct now know that you Jonathanians are a special breed of accursed individuals whose support of GEJ is not borne out of any patriotic fervour but only of asinine and stomach considerations

I thought that GEJ as an incumbent should have everything going for him towards the election if indeed he has performed but it is now obvious that you lot are jittery hence would not mind if Nigeria and all its institutions are destroyed on the platter of Jonathan's ambition

To people like you even if your Mother's head were to be decapitated to please GEJ,y'all wont mind........that is what a sorrow-filled life can berth

iF Maurice Iwu went on terminal leave who is jega not to go.Jega is not bigger than our law, come March 1st he must proceed on terminal leave to enable the highly competent Prof Mimiko anchor the elections.
...your diction is deceitful-you should have said Prof Mimiko to finally rig the election...

...in a reasonable country you can't,but in a jungle you can change it anytime and as often as possible...

The cluelessness of GEJ is gradually permeating the psyche and thinking system of his followers. It is dangerous to follow blindly that is the reason its necessary u read very well and understand. I dnt no why people like living in denial. The content of that report was written in English, the INEC spoke person made it very clear and succint the reason JEGA cant go on either 2 or 3 month terminal leave but the autor or poster chose to misinform the people by deluding himself in ignorance. Point 1. Jega is a political appointee whoose appointment was ratified by the national assembly.point 2. INEC under Jega have concluded the printing of the voters cards. Point 3. The election will now hold on the 28th and 11th march and April respectively.
Can the poster tell me when it will take to conclude the appointment of another chairman with this current national assembly. Pls. Stop deluding urselves, Buhari will be presido come may 29th,2015. And GEJ wll not want to end like lawrence gbagbo,he will simply congratulate Buhari and move to Otuoke. I will really miss GEJ and PEJ.

You assuming GEJ is still in charge. No. The people around him, knowing how weak, incompetent and indecisive he is HAVE TAKEN CONTROL. IT'S LIKE WHEN YARADUA WAS SICK AND THE CABAL TOOK CONTROL.

What we face now is the new cabal. Jonathan is no longer in control.

If Obasabjo can send pro Mouris iwu on terminal leave 3 months ahead as dictated by d civil service rule what stops Jega equally going on his 3monhs,terminal leave? Nigerian should learn to separate politics from actual facts.NASS made the laws not Jonathan and d laws of d nation must be obeyed.Jega's 3 months terminal leave will commence in march 2015.Jega himself is aware, and is already preparing to proceed. He has even told his commissioners not to panic bec it is normal and that his will not be an exception. No one should cry more than d bereaved.Obj knows this,he did it Prof Iwu before

You sure can and don't be deceived by pdp denial. Jega may be forced out and mimiko forced on us. You wanna know something? Nothing will happen. People will die. Foolish people.

Buhari and Jonathan won't give a damn. Guard your life with all your strength. It's all you ve got.

If Jega"s Tenure ends on June 30th Then in Theory, if the civil service rule apply, he will start his leave on April 1st after Presidential Election. GEJ would have been out then!

However, The INEC can not be left without a chairman and hence if he goes on leave, one of his National commisionals will take over as Acting Chair and this is still bad news for GEJ.
A new Chairman can not take over until June 30th and subject to consultation with the Council of State and to approval of the senate.

Haven said that, My take is that the INEC Chairman and its National commisionals are not subject to the civil servant rules. The rule of retirement can not apply to a tenured position as after leaving INEC Jega returns to the University and will only retire when he reaches retirement age. Also, in the constitution the term public servant was used separtely from Civil servants who are subject to the civil service rules.
The INEC permanent staff are civil servants who are subject to the civil service rules but the Commissioners including the Chairman is subject to tenure as PUBLIC SERVANTS who are guided by the expiration of their tenures. I rest My case

When are you gonna wake up? You guys said the same poo when it was Sanusi as CBN governor. What happened? He's gone and nothing happened. Heaven didn't fall.

A few weeks ago, you people said that hell would be let loose if election dates were shifted. They have. Nothing happened. If Jega is forced out, believe me, nothing will happen.

GEJ may not understand how much power he has as the commander in chief, or may have decided to play cool all these years, but there are Hawks around him who understand the game and need him there. They know how powerful the power of incumbency is. Buhari can't claim to be ignorant of this power.

GEJ can even bribe Tinubu and Amaechi. He can bribe you. He can bribe all the politicians except Buhari and that's because Buhari wants the power and not cash. The others want cash.

I know Jega was force to postpone this election directly or indirectly... now this is the news that ensues.
As it stands now any rumour might turn out to be true.

Gej, Jega, etc, not bigger than the law. The extant rule is clear. There is nothing Jega knows about preparations for the elections that a good technocrat cannot study and catch up in one week. Previous elections were held in April. Jega mischiviously fixed this year's for February with his terminal date in mind. If he dies (God forbid) two weeks before the elections, are you saying the elections would not go ahead ?

When shall we stop being LAWLESS barbarians shocked

I am disappointed in many of so called educcated people here. Sometimes I weep. So you will do everything the law permits ehn? Like the law doesn't force you to help your mother and father, the law didn't also force you to obey arm robbers at gun point too. Ok 3 months terminal leave of 30th June should be from 30th March not 1st Match. Like in the case of SLS, The government wants to go illegal again. Just that this time, the stakes are overwhelming

Let's keep watching, we already have an antecedents even with military dictators welding full power under the nose of uninformed citizens and world bodies and countries. When the gods wants to kill a man, they first make him mad. A word is enough for the wise. But are they wise?

But Jega boasted that he would rather resign than postpone the elections. He spoke like a layman who doesn't know that words are sacred. He is stupid for failing to back up his bluff when called. He has lost my respect. Only fools allow emotions to override their thoughts. Fools use their mouths before they use their brains.
