Medicine do not agree that staphylococcus aureus and others are transmitted sexually, but can be transmitted through body contact with an infected person. If this is possible, can't one be infected through unprotected sex? |

Hi dunhill20, it's always my pleasure to chat with other health care professionals in this section ![]() Staphylococcus aureus is not necessarily considered an STD though in few cases it can be transmitted sexually. The most common means of transmission is skin contact with an infected person. It's because of diseases like this that we implement use of PPE's and universal standard precautions while dealing with our patients. In answer to your question, condom use is always advised ![]() |
